Moſés is the meane betwene God and the people. 6 The Lawe is repeted 23 The people are afraide at Gods voyce. 29 The Lord wiſheth that the people wolde feare him 32 They muſt nether decline to the right hand nor left.
.(At that time I ſtode betwene the Lord and you, to declare vnto you the worde of the Lord: for ye were afraide at the ſight of the fire, & went not vp into the mount) and he ſaid,
.Thou ſhalt make thee no grauen image, or anie likenes of that yt is in heauen aboue, or which is in the earth beneth, or that is in the waters vnder the earth.
.Thou ſhalt not take the Name of the Lord thy God in vaine: for the Lord wil not holde him giltles, that taketh his Name in vaine.
.Kepe the Sabbath day, to ſanctifie it, as the Lord thy God hathe cómanded thee.
.But the ſeuéth day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: yt thou ſhalt not do anie worke therein, thou, nor thy ſonne, nor thy daughter, nor thy man ſeruante, nor thy maide, nor thine oxe, nor thine aſſe, nether anie of thy cattel, nor the ſtranger that is within thy gates: that thy man ſeruát and thy maide may reſt aſwell as thou.
.For, remember that thou waſt a ſeruant in the lád of Egypt, and that the Lord the God broght thee out thence by a mighty hand and a ſtretched out arme: therefore the Lord thy God commáded thee to obſerue the Sabbath day.
.Nether ſhalt thou beare falſe witnes againſt thy neighbour.
.And when ye heard the voyce out of the middes of the darkenes, (for ye mountanie did burne with fire,) then ye came to me, all the chief of your tribes, and your Elders:
.Now therefore, why ſhulde we dye: for this great fire wil conſume vs: if we heare the voyce of the Lord our God anie more, we ſhal dye.
.Then the Lord heard the voyce of your wordes, when ye ſpake vnto me: and the Lord ſaid vnto me, I haue heard the voyce of the wordes of this people, which they haue ſpoken vnto thee: they haue wel ſaid, all that they haue ſpoken.
.Go, ſay vnto them, Returne you into your tentes.
.But ſtand thou here with me, & I wil tel thee all the commandements, and the ordinances, and the lawes, which thou ſhalt teache them: that they may do them in the land which I giue them to poſſeſſe it.
