Numbers 9

1 The Paſſeouer is commanded againe. 13 The puniſhment of him that kepeth not the Paſſeouer. 15 The cloude conducteth the Iſraelites through the wildernes.
1.ANd the Lord ſpake vnto Moſes in the wildernes of Sinái, in the firſt moneth of the ſecóde yere, after thei were come out of the land of Egypt, ſaying,
2.The childré of Iſraél ſhal alſo celebrate the * Paſſeouer at the time appointed thereunto.
3.In the fourtéth day of this moneth at * eué, ye ſhal kepe it in his due ſeaſon: according to a all the ordinances of it, and according to all the ceremonies thereof ſhal ye kepe it.
4.Then Moſes ſpake vnto the children of Iſraél, to celebrate the Paſſeouer.
5.And thei kept the Paſſeouer in the fourtenth day of the firſt moneth at euen in ye wildernes of Sinái: according to all that the Lord had commanded Moſes, ſo did the children of Iſraél.
6.¶ And certeine men were defiled b by a dead man, that thei might not kepe the Paſſeouer the ſame day: and thei came before Moſes and before Aarón the ſame day.
7.And thoſe men ſaid vnto him, We are defiled by a dead man : wherefore are we kept backe that we may not c offer an offring vnto the Lord in the time thereunto appointed among the children of Iſraél?
8.Then Moſes ſaid vnto them, Stand ſtil, and I wil heare what the Lord wil cómande concerning you.
9.¶ And the Lord ſpake vnto Moſes, ſaying,
10.Speake vnto the children of Iſraél, and ſay, If anie among you, or of your poſteritie ſhalbe vncleane by the reaſon of a corps, or be in a long iourney, d he ſhal kepe the Paſſeouer vnto the Lord.
11.In the fourtéth day of the e ſeconde moneth at euen thei ſhal kepe it: with vnleauened bread and ſowre herbes ſhal thei eat it.
12.They ſhal leaue none of it vnto the morning, * nor breake anie bone of it: according to all the ordinance of the Paſſeouer ſhal thei kepe it.
13.But the man that is cleane and is not in a f iourney, and is negligent to kepe the Paſſeouer, the ſame perſone ſhalbe cut of from his people : becauſe he broght not the offring of the Lord in his due ſeaſon, that man ſhal beare his " ſinne.
14.And if a ſtranger dwel among you, and wil kepe the Paſſeouer vnto the Lord, as the ordinance of the Paſſeouer, & as the maner thereof is, ſo ſhal he do: * ye ſhal haue one lawe bothe for the ſtranger, & for him that was borne in the ſame land.
15.* And whé the Tabernacle was reared vp, a cloude couered the Tabernacle, namely, the Tabernacle of the Teſtimonie: & at euen there was vpon the Tabernacle, as the g appearance of fire vntil morning.
16.So it was alwaie: the cloude couered it by day, & the appearance of fire by night.
17.And when the cloude was taken vp from the Tabernacle, then afterward the children of Iſraél iourneied : & in the place where the cloude abode, there the children of Iſraél pitched their tentes.
18.At the " commandement of the h Lord the children of Iſraél iourneied, and at the commandement of the Lord thei pitched: as long as the cloude abode vpó the Tabernacle, " they laye ſtil.
19.And when the cloude taryed ſtil vpon the Tabernacle a long time, the children of Iſraél kept the i watch of the Lord, & iourneyed not.
20.So when the cloude abode " a fewe daies vpon the Tabernacle, thei abode in their tents according to the commandement of the Lord: for thei iourneyed at the commandement of the Lord.
21.And And thogh the cloude abode vpon the Tabernacle from euen vnto the morning, yet if the cloude was taken vp in the morning, thē they iourneyed: whether by day or by night the cloude was taken vp, then they iourneyed.
22.Or if the cloude taried two dayes or a moneth, or a yere vpon the Tabernacle, abiding thereon, the children of Iſraél * abode ſtil, and iourneied not: but when it was taken vp, they iourneyed.
23.At the commandemēt of the Lord they pitched, and at the commandement of the Lord they iourneyed, keping the watch of the Lord at the commandement of the Lord by the k hand of Moſés.
