2 The ſacrifice of the red kowe. 9 The ſprinkling water. 11 He that toucheth the dead. 14 The man that dyeth in a tent.
1.And the Lord ſpake to Moſés, and to Aarón, ſaying,
2.This is the ordinãce of the lawe, which the Lord hathe commãded, ſaying, Speake vnto the children of Iſraél that they bring thee a a red kowe without blemiſh, wherein is no ſpot, vpon the which neuer came yoke.
3.And ye ſhal giue her vnto Eleazár the Prieſt, that he may bring her * without the hoſte, and cauſe her to b be ſlaine before his face.
4.Then ſhal Eleazár the Prieſt take of her blood with his * finger, & ſprinkle it before the Tabernacle of the Congregacion ſeuen times,
5.And cauſe yͧ kowe to be burnt in his ſight: with her * ſkin, & her fleſh, and her blood, and her doung ſhal he burne her.
6.Then ſhal the Prieſt take ceder wood, & hyſſope and ſkarlet lace, and caſt them in the middes of the fire where the kowe burneth.
7.Then ſhal the c Prieſt waſh his clothes, and he ſhal waſh his fleſh in water, and then come into the hoſte, and the Prieſt ſhalbe vncleane vnto the euen.
8.Alſo he that d burneth her, ſhal waſh his
9.And a man, that is cleane, ſhal take vp the aſhes of the kowe, & put them without the hoſte in a cleane place : and it ſhalbe kept for the Congregacion of the children of Iſraél for e a ſprinkling water: it is a ſinne offring.
10.Therefore he that gathereth the aſhes of the kowe, ſhal waſh his clothes, and remaine vncleane vntil euen : and it ſhalbe vnto the children of Iſraél, and vnto the ſtranger that dwelleth among them, a ſtatute for euer.
11.He that toucheth the dead bodie of anie man, ſhalbe vncleane euen ſeuen daies.
12.He ſhal purifie him ſelfe f therewith the third day, and the ſeuenth day he ſhalbe cleane: but if he purifie not him ſelfe the third day, then the ſeuenth day he ſhal not be cleane.
13.Whoſoeuer toucheth the corps of anie man that is dead, and purgeth not him ſelfe, defileth ye Tabernacle of the Lord, & g that perſone ſhalbe cut of from Iſraél, becauſe the ſprinkling water was not ſprinkle: vpon him: he ſhalbe vncleane, and his vnclennes ſhal remaine ſtil vpon him.
14.This is the lawe, When a man dyeth in a tent, all that come into the tent, and all that is in the tent, ſhalbe vncleane ſeuen dayes,
15.And all the veſſels that be open, which haue no " couering faſtened vpõ them, ſhal be vncleane.
16.Alſo whoſoeuer toucheth one that is ſlaine with a ſworde in ye fielde, or a dead perſone, or a bone of a dead man, or a graue, ſhalbe vncleane ſeuen dayes.
17.Therefore for an vncleane perſone thei ſhal take of the burnt aſhes of the h ſin offring, and i pure water ſhal be put thereto in a veſſel.
18.And a k cleane perſone ſhal take hyſſope and dip it in the water, and ſprinkle it vpon the tent, and vpon all the veſſels, and on the perſones that were therein, and vpon him that touched the bone, or ye ſlaine, or the dead, or the graue.
19.And the cleane perſone ſhal ſprinkle vpon the vncleane the third day, and the ſeuenth day, and he ſhal purifie him ſelf the ſeuenth day, & l waſh his clothes, & waſh him ſelfe in water, & ſhalbe cleane at eué.
20.But the man that is vncleane and purifieth not him ſelfe, that perſone ſhalbe cut of from amõg the Congregacion, becauſe he hathe defiled the Sanctuarie of the Lord: and the ſprinkling water hathe not bene ſprinkled vpon him: therefore ſhal he be vncleane.
21.And it ſhalbe a perpetual lawe vnto thẽ, that he that ſprinkleth the ſprinkling water, ſhal waſh his clothes: alſo he that toucheth the ſprinkling water, ſhal be vncleane vntil euen.
22.And whatſoeuer the vncleane perſone toucheth, ſhal be vncleane: and the perſone that toucheth m him, ſhalbe vncleane vntil the euen.
