Numbers 17

The twelue rods of the twelue princes of the tribes of Iſraél 9 Aarons rod buddeth, and beareth bloſſoms, to for a teſtimonie againſt the rebellious people.
1.ANd the Lord ſpake vnto a Moſés, ſaying,
2.Speake vnto the childrē of Iſraél, & take of euerie one of them a rod, after yͤ houſe of their fathers, of all their princes according to the familie of their fathers, euen twelue rods and thou ſhalt write euerie mans name vpon his rod.
3.And write Aarons name vpon the rod of Leui: for euerie rod ſhalbe for the head of the houſe of their fathers.
4.And thou ſhalt put thē in the Tabernacle of the Congregacion, before the Arke of the Teſtimonie, * where I wil declare my ſelfe to you.
5.And the mans rod, whome I b choſe, ſhal bloſſom: and I wil make ceaſe from me the grudgings of the children of Iſraél, which grudge againſt you.
6.¶ Then Moſés ſpake vnto the children of Iſraél, & all their princes gaue him a rod, one rod for euerie prince, according to yͤ houſes of their fathers, euen twelue rods, & the rod c of Aarón was amōg their rods.
7.And Moſés laid the rods before the Lord in the Tabernacle of the Teſtimonie.
8.And when Moſés on the morowe went into the Tabernacle of the Teſtimonie, beholde, the rod of Aarón d for the houſe of Leui was budded, and broght forthe buddes, & broght forthe bloſſoms & bare ripe almondes.
9.Then Moſés broght out all the rods frō before the Lord vnto all the children of Iſraél: and they loked vpon them, & toke euerie man his rod.
10.¶ After, yͤ Lord ſaid vnto Moſés, * Bring Aarons rod againe before the Teſtimonie to be kept for a tokē to the rebellious children, & thou ſhalt cauſe their e murmurings to ceaſe frō me, yͭ they dye not.
11.So Moſés did as the Lord had commāded him: ſo did he.
12.¶ And the children of Iſraél ſpake vnto Moſés, ſaying, Beholde, f we are dead, we periſh, we are all loſt:
13.Whoſoeuer cōmeth nere, or approcheth to the Tabernacle of the Lord, ſhal dye: ſhal we be conſumed and dye?
