.And thei roſe vp " againſt Moſés, with certeine of the children of Iſraél, two hundreth and fiftie captaines of the aſſemblie, * famous in the Congregacion & men of renoume.
.Who gathered them ſelues together againſt Moſés, and againſt Aarón, and ſaid vnto them, " Ye take to muche vpon you, ſeing all the Congregacion is holy, d euerie one of them, and the Lord is among them: wherefore then lift ye your ſelues aboue the Congregacion of the Lord?
.But when Moſés heard it, he fel vpon his face,
.And ſpake to Kórah & vnto all his companie, ſaying, Tomorowe the Lord wil ſhewe who is his, and who is holy, & who oght to approche nere vnto him: & whome he hathe e choſen, he wil cauſe to come nere to him.
.This do therefore, Take you cenſers, bothe Kórah, and all his companie,
.And put fire therein, and put incens in them before the Lord tomorowe: and the man whome the Lord doeth choſe, the ſame ſhalbe holy: f ye take to muche vpon you, ye ſonnes of Leuí.
.Againe Moſés ſaid vnto Kórah, Heare, I pray you, ye ſonnes of Leuí.
.Semeth it a ſmall thing vnto you that the God of Iſraél hathe ſeparated you from the multitude of Iſraél, to take you nere to him ſelf, to do the ſeruice of the Tabernacle of the Lord, and to ſtand before the Congregacion and to miniſter vnto them?
.He hathe alſo taken thee to g him, and all thy brethren the ſonnes of Leuí with thee, and ſeke ye the office of the Prieſt alſo?
.For which cauſe, thou, and all thy companie are gathered together againſt the Lord: and what is Aarón, that ye murmure againſt him?
.¶ And Moſés ſent to call Dathán, and Abirám the ſonnes of Eliáb: who anſwered We wil not come vp.
.Is it a ſmall thing that thou haſt broght vs out h of a land that floweth with milke and hony, to kil vs in the wildernes, except thou make thy ſelf Lord and ruler ouer vs alſo?
.Alſo thou haſt not broght vs vnto a lād that floweth with milke and honie, nether giuen vs inheritance of fieldes and vineyardes: wilt thou i put out ye eies of theſe men? we wil not come vp.
.Thē Moſes waxed verie angrie, & ſaid vnto the Lord, * Loke not vnto their offring, I haue not taken ſo muche as an aſſe frō thē, nether haue I hurt anie of thē.
.And Moſes ſaid vnto Kórah, Be thou & all thy companie k before the Lord: bothe thou, thei, and Aarón tomorowe:
.And take euerie man his cenſor, and put incens in them, and bring ye euerie man his cenſor before the Lord, two hundreth and fiftie cenſors: thou alſo and Aarón, euerie one his cenſor.
.So thei toke euerie man his cenſor, and put fire in them, and laied incens thereon, and ſtode in the dore of the Tabernacle of the Cógregacion with Moſes & Aarón.
.And Kórah gathered all the l multitude againſt them vnto the dore of the Tabernacle of the Congregacion: then the glorie of the Lord appeared vnto all the Cógregacion.
.And the Lord ſpake vnto Moſes and to Aarón, ſaying,
.Separate your ſelues frō amōg this Cógregacion, yt I may conſume thē at once.
.And thei fel vpon their faces and ſaid, O God ye God of the ſpirits, " of all fleſh, hathe not one man onely ſinned, and wilt thou be wrath with all the Cógregacion?
.And the Lord ſpake vnto Moſes, ſaying,
.Speake vnto the Congregacion & ſay, Get you away frō about the Tabernacle of Kórah, Dathán and Abirám.
.Then Moſes roſe vp, & went vnto Dathán and Abirám, and the Elders of Iſraél followed him.
.And he ſpake vnto the Congregacion, ſaying, Departe, I pray you, frō the tentes of theſe wicked men, and touche nothing of theirs, leſt ye periſh m in all their ſinnes.
.So thei gate them away frō the Tabernacle of Kórah, Dathán and Abirám on euerie ſide: and Dathán, & Abirám came out and ſtode in the dore of their tentes with their wiues, and their ſonnes, & their litle children.
.And Moſes ſaid, Hereby ye ſhal knowe that ye Lord hathe ſent me to do all theſe workes: for I haue not done them of mine owne n minde.
.If theſe mē dye the cómune death of all men, or if thei be viſited after ye viſitaciō of all men, the Lord hathe not ſent me.
.But if the Lord make " a newe thing, & the earth open her mouth, & ſwalowe thē vp wt all that thei haue, & thei go downe quicke into " ye pit, thē ye ſhal vnderſtād that theſe men haue prouoked the Lord.
.¶ And as ſone as he had made an end of ſpeaking all theſe wordes, euen the groūde claue a ſunder that was vnder them,
.And the earth * opened her mouthe, and ſwalowed them vp, with their families, & all the men that were with Kórah, and all their goods.
.So thei & all that thei had, went downe aliue into the pit, & the earth couered thé: ſo thei periſhed from among the Cógregacion.
.And all Iſraél that were about thé, fled at the crye of thē: for thei ſaid, Let vs flee, leſt the earth ſwalowe vs vp.
.But there came out a fire from the Lord, and conſumed the two hundreth and fiftie men that offred the incens.
.¶ And ye Lord ſpake vnto Moſes, ſaying,
.Speake vnto Eleazár, the ſonne of Aarón the Prieſt, that he take vp the cenſers out of the burning, and ſkater the fire beyonde the altar: for thei are halowed,
.The cenſers, I ſay, of theſe ſinners, that deſtroyed o them ſelues: and let them make of them broad plates for a couering of the Altar: for they offred thē before the Lord, therefore thei ſhalbe holy, and thei ſhalbe p a ſigne vnto the children of Iſraél.
.Then Eleazár the Prieſt toke the braſen cēſers, which thei, that were burnt, had offred, and made broad plates of them for a couering of the Altar.
.It is a remembrance vnto the children of Iſraél, that no ſtranger which is not of the ſede of Aarón, come nere to offer incens before the Lord, that he be not like q Kórah and his companie, as the Lord ſaid to him by the hand of Moſes.
.¶ But on the morowe all the multitude of the children of Iſraél murmured againſt Moſes and againſt Aarón, ſaying, Ye haue killed the people of the Lord.
.And when the Cógregacion was gathered againſt Moſes & againſt Aarón, then thei " turned their faces toward the Tabernacle of the Cógregacion: & beholde, the cloude couered it, & the glorie of the Lord appeared.
.Then Moſes and Aarón were come before the Tabernacle of the Cógregaciō.
.¶ And the Lord ſpake vnto Moſes, ſaying,
.Get you vp from among this Congregacion: for I wil conſume them quickely: then thei fel vpon their faces.
.And Moſes ſaid vnto Aarón, Take the cenſer and put fire therein of the s Altar, & put therein incens, & go quickly vnto the Congregacion, & make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out frō
.Then Aarón toke as Moſés commāded him, and ran into the middes of the Congregacion, and beholde, the t plague was begōne among the people, & he put in incens, & made an atonemēt for the people.
.And when he ſtode betwene the dead, & the that were aliue, yͤ u plague was ſtayed.
.So they dyed of this plague fourtene thouſand and feuen hundreth, beſide thē that dyed in the conſpiracie of Kórah.
.And Aarón went againe vnto Moſés before the dore of the Tabernacle of the Congregacion, & the plague was ſtayed.
