Leviticus 26

Idolatrie forbidden. 3 A bleſsing to them that kepe the cõmandemẽts 14 The curſe to thoſe that breake them. 42 God promiſeth to remember his couenant.
.YE ſhal make you none idoles nor grauen image, neither reare you vp anie * piller, neither ſhal ye ſet anie " image of ſtone in your lãd to bowe downe to it: for I am the Lord your God. I am the Lord your God,
.Ye ſhal kepe my Sabbaths, and * reuerence my Sanctuarie: I am the Lord.
.* If ye walke in mine ordinances, and kepe my commandements, and do them,
.I wil then ſend you a raine in due ſeaſon, and the land ſhal yelde her increaſe, and the trees of the field ſhal giue their frute.
.And your threſhing ſhal reache vnto the vintage, and the vintage ſhal reache vnto ſowing time, and you ſhal eat your bread in plenteouſnes, and * dwel in your land ſafely.
.And I wil ſend peace in the land, and ye ſhal ſlepe and none ſhal make you afraied: alſo I " wil rid euil beaſts out of the land, and the b ſworde ſhal not go through your land.
.Alſo ye ſhal chaſe your enemies, and they ſhal fall before you vpon the ſworde.
.* And fiue of you ſhal chaſe an hundreth, and an hundreth of you ſhal put ten thouſand to flight, and your enemies ſhal fall before you vpon the ſworde.
.For " I wil haue reſpect vnto you, & make you encreaſe, & multiplie you, and c eſtabliſh my couenant with you.
.Ye ſhal eat alſo olde ſtore, and cary out olde becauſe of the newe.
.* And I wil ſet my d Tabernacle among you, and my ſoule ſhal not lothe you.
.Alſo I wil walke among you, and I wil be your God, and ye ſhal be my people.
.I am the Lord your God which haue broght you out of the land of Egypt, that ye ſhulde not be their bondmen, and I haue broken the e bondes of your yoke, and made you go vpright.
.* But if ye wil not obey me, nor do all theſe commandements,
.And if ye ſhal deſpiſe mine ordinances, ether if your ſoule abhorre my Lawes, ſo that ye wil not do all my commādemēts, but breake my f couenant,
.Then wil I alſo do this vnto you, I wil appoint ouer you " fearfulnes, a conſumption, and the burning ague to conſume the eies, and make the heart heauie, and you ſhal ſowe your ſede in vaine: for your enemies ſhal eat it:
.And I wil ſet g my face againſt you, and ye ſhal fall before your enemies, and they that hate you, ſhal reigne ouer you, * and ye ſhal flee when none purſueth you.
.And if ye wil not for theſe things obey me, then wil I puniſh you h ſeuen times more, according to your ſinnes,
.And I wil breake the pride of your power, and I wil make your heauen as i yrō, & your earth as braſſe:
.And your " ſtrēgth ſhalbe ſpent in vaine: nether ſhal your land giue her increaſe, nether ſhal the trees of the land giue their frute.
.¶ And if ye walke " ſtubbernely againſt me, and wil not obey me, I wil then bring ſeuen times mo plagues vpon you, according to your ſinnes.
.I wil alſo ſend wilde beaſtes vpon you, which ſhal l ſpoile you, and deſtroy your cattel, and make you fewe in number: ſo your hye m wayes ſhalbe deſolate.
.Yet if by theſe ye wil not be reformed by me, but walke ſtubbernely againſt me,
.Then wil I alſo walke * ſtubbernely againſt you, and I wil ſmite you yet ſeuen times for your ſinnes:
.And I wil ſend a ſworde vpon you, that ſhal auenge yͤ quarel of my couenāt: and when ye are gathered in your cities, I wil ſend yͤ peſtilence among you, and ye ſhalbe deliuered into the hand of the enemie.
.When I ſhal breake the n ſtaffe of your bread, then ten womē ſhal bake your bread in one o ouen, and they ſhal deliuer your bread againe by weight, and ye ſhal eat, but not be ſatiſfied.
.Yet if ye wil not for this obey me, but walke againſt me ſtubbernely,
.Thē wil I walke ſtubbernely in mine angre againſt you, & I wil alſo chaſtice you ſeuē times more according to your ſinnes.
.And * ye ſhal eat the fleſh of your ſonnes, and the fleſh of your daughters ſhal ye deuoure.
.I wil alſo deſtroye your hie places, and * cut away your images, and caſt your car-keiſes vpon the " bodies of your idoles, & my ſoule ſhal abhorre you.
.And I wil make your cities deſolate, and bring your Sanctuarie vnto noght, and p wil not ſmel the fauour of your ſwete odoures.
.I wil alſo bring the land vnto a wildernes, & your enemies, which dwel therein, ſhal be aſtoniſhed thereat.
.Alſo I wil ſcatter you among the heathē, and q wil drawe out a ſworde after you, and your land ſhalbe waſte, and your cities ſhalbe deſolate.
.Then ſhal the lād enioye her * Sabbaths, as long as it lieth voyde, and ye ſhalbe in your enemies land: then ſhal the land reſt, and enioye her Sabbaths.
.All the daies that it lieth voyde, it ſhal reſt, becauſe it did not reſt in your r Sabbaths, when ye dwelt vpon it.
.And vpon them that are left of you, I wil ſend euen a " faintnes into their hearts in the land of their enemies, & the ſounde of a leafe ſhaken ſhal chafe them, and they ſhal t flee as fleing from a ſworde, & they ſhal fall, no man purſuing them.
.They ſhal fall alſo one vpon an other, as before a ſworde, thogh none purſue them, and ye ſhal not be able to ſtand be-
.And ye ſhal periſh among yͤ heathen, & the land of your enemies ſhal eat you vp.
.And they that are left of you, ſhal pine away for their iniquitie, in your enemies la̅ds, & for the iniquities of their fathers ſhal they pine away with u them alſo.
.Then thei ſhal " confeſſe their iniquitie, and yͤ wickednes of their fathers for their treſpas, which they haue treſpaſed againſt me, and alſo becauſe thei haue walked ſtubbernely againſt me.
.Therefore I wil walke ſtubbernely againſt the̅, and bring them into the land of their enemies: ſo the̅ their vncircu̅ciſed hearts ſhal be humbled, and the̅ they ſhal "willingly beare the puniſhme̅t of their iniquitie.
.Then I wil remembre my couenant with Iaakób, and my couenant alſo with Izhák, and alſo my couenant with Abrahám wil I remember, and wil remember the land.
.v The land alſo in the meane ſeaſon ſhalbe left of them, & ſhal enioye her Sabbaths while ſhe lieth waſte without them, but they ſhal willingly ſuffre the puniſhment of their iniquitie, becauſe thei diſpiſed my lawes, & becauſe their ſoule abhorred mine ordinances.
.Yet notwithſtanding this, when they ſhalbe in the land of their enemies, * I wil not caſt them away, neither wil I abhorre them, to deſtroy them vtterly, nor to breake my couenant with them: for I am the Lord their God:
.But I wil remembre for them the x couenant of olde when I broght them out of yͤ land of Egypt in the ſight of the heathe̅ that I might be their God: I am the Lord.
.Theſe are the ordinances, & the iudgements, & the lawes, which the Lord made betwene him, and the children of Iſraél in mount y Sinái, by the hand of Moſés.
