Ezekiel 7

The end of all the land of Iſrael ſhal ſuddenly come.
1.MOreouer the worde of the Lord came vnto me, ſaying,
2.Alſo thou ſonne of man, thus ſaith the Lord God, An end is come vnto the lãd of Iſraél: the end is come vpon the foure corners of the land.
3.Now is the end come vpon thee, and I wil ſend my wrath vpon thee, and wil iudge thee according to thy waies, and wil laye vpon thee all thine abominacions.
4.Nether ſhal mine eye ſpare thee, nether wil I haue pitie: but I wil laie thy waies vpon thee: and thine abominacion ſhalbe in the middes of thee, and ye ſhal knowe that I am the Lord.
5.Thus ſaith the Lord God, Beholde, one euil, euen one euil is come.
6.An end is come, the end is come, it watched for thee: beholde, it is come.
7.The morning is come vnto thee, that dwelleſt in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is nere, and not the ſounding againe of the mountaines.
8.Now I wil ſhortely powre out my wrath vpon thee, and fulfil mine angre vpõ thee: I wil iudge thee according to thy wayes, and wil lay vpon thee all thine abominacions.
9.Nether ſhal mine eye ſpare thee, nether wil I haue pitie, but I wil lay vpon thee according to thy wayes, and thine abominacions ſhal be in the middes of thee, & ye ſhal know that I am the Lord that ſmiteth.
10.Beholde, the day, beholde, it is come: the morning is gone forthe, the rod floriſheth: pride hathe budded.
11.Crueltie is riſen vp into a rod of wickednes: none of them ſhal remaine, nor of their riches, nor of anie of theirs, nether ſhal there be lamentation for them.
12.The time is come, the day draweth nere: let not the byer reioyce, nor let him that ſelleth, mourne: for the wrath is vpõ all the multitude thereof.
13.For he that ſelleth, ſhal not returne to that, which is ſolde, althogh they were yet aliue: for the viſiõ was vnto all the multitude thereof, and they returned not, nether doeth anie encourage him ſelf in the puniſhment of his life.
14.They haue blowen the trumpet, and prepared all, but none goeth to the battel: for my wrath is vpon all the multitude thereof.
15.The ſworde is without, and the peſtilence, and the famine within: he that is in the field, ſhal dye with ye ſworde, & he that is in the citie, famine and peſtilence ſhal deuoure him.
16.But they that flee away from them, ſhal eſcape, and ſhalbe in the mountaines, like ye doues of the valleis: all thei ſhal mourne, euerie one for his iniquitie.
17.All hands ſhal be weake, and all knees ſhal fall away as water.
18.They ſhal alſo gird them ſelues with ſackecloth, and feare ſhal couer them, and ſhame ſhalbe vpon all faces, and baldenes vpon their heads.
19.They ſhal caſt their ſiluer in the ſtretes, and their golde ſhalbe caſt far of: their ſiluer and their golde can not deliuer them in the day of the wrath of the Lord: they ſhal not ſatiſfie their ſoules, nether fil their bowels: for this ruine is for their iniquitie.
20.He had alſo ſet the beautie of his ornament in maieſtie: but they made images of their abominations, and of their idoles therein: therefore haue I ſet it farre from them.
21.And I wil giue it into the hands of the ſtrangers to be ſpoiled, and to the wicked of the earth to be robbed, & they ſhal pollute it.
22.My face wil I turne alſo from them, and they ſhal pollute my ſecret place: for the deſtroyers ſhal entre into it, and defile it.
23.¶ Make a chaine: for the land is ful of the iudgement of blood, and the citie is ful of crueltie.
24.Wherefore I wil bring the moſte wicked of the heathen, and they ſhal poſſeſſe their houſes: I wil alſo make the pompe of the mightie to ceaſe, and their holie places ſhalbe defiled.
25.When deſtruction cometh, they ſhal ſeke peace, and ſhal not haue it.
26.Calamitie ſhal come vpon calamitie, and rumour ſhalbe vpon rumour: thẽ ſhal they ſeke a viſion of the Prophet: but the Law ſhal periſh from the Prieſt, & counſel from the Ancient.
27.The King ſhal mourne, and the prince ſhalbe clothed with deſolation, and the hands of the people in the land ſhal be troubled: I wil do vnto them according to their wayes, and according to their iudgements wil I iudge them, and they ſhal knowe that I am the Lord.
