Ezekiel 6

He ſheweth that Ieruſalem ſhalbe deſtroyed for their idolatrie. 8 He prophecieth the repentance of the remnant of the people, and their deliuerance.
1.AGaine the worde of the Lord came vnto me, ſaying,
2.Sonne of man, Set thy face towards the mountaines of Iſraél, and prophecie againſt them,
3.And ſay, Ye mountaines of Iſraél, heare the worde of the Lord God: thus ſaith the Lord God to the mountaines and to the hilles, to the riuers and to the valleis, Beholde, I, euen I, wil bring a ſworde vpon you, and I wil deſtroye your hie places:
4.And your altars ſhalbe deſolate, and your images of the ſunne ſhalbe broken: and I wil caſt downe your ſlayne men before your idoles.
5.And I wil lay the dead carkeſes of the children of Iſraél before their idoles, and I wil ſcatter your bones roũde about your altars.
6.In all your dwelling places the cities ſhal be deſolate, and the hie places ſhalbe laied waſte, ſo yͤ your altars ſhalbe made waſte and deſolate, & your idoles ſhalbe broken, and ceaſe, and your images of the ſunne ſhalbe cut in pieces, and your workes ſhalbe aboliſhed.
7.And the ſlayne ſhal fall in the middes of you, and ye ſhal knowe that I am yͤ Lord.
8.Yet wil I leaue a remnãt, that you may haue ſome that ſhal eſcape the ſworde among the nacions, when you ſhalbe ſcattred through the countreis.
9.And they that eſcape of you, ſhal remember me among the nacions, where they ſhalbe in captiuitie, becauſe I am grieued for their whoriſh hearts, which haue departed from me, and for their eyes, which haue gone a whoring after their idoles, and they ſhalbe diſpleaſed in them ſelues for the euils, which they haue committed in all their abominacions.
10.And thei ſhal knowe that I am the Lord, and that I haue not ſaid in vaine, that I wolde do this euil vnto them.
11.Thus ſaith the Lord God, Smite with thine hand, and ſtretche forthe with thy fote, and ſay, Alas, for all the wicked abominacions of the houſe of Iſraél: for they ſhal fall by the ſworde, by the famine, and by the peſtilence.
12.He that is farre of, ſhal dye of the peſtilence, and he that is nere, ſhal fall by the ſworde, and he that remaineth and is beſieged, ſhal dye by the famine: thus wil I accompliſh my wrath vpon them.
13.Then ſal ye ſhal knowe, that I am yͤ Lord, when their ſlayne men ſhalbe among their idoles rounde about their altars, vpon euery hie hill in all the toppes of the mountaines, and vnder euery grene tre, and vnder euery thicke oke, which is the place where they did offer ſwete fauour to all their idoles.
14.So wil I ſtretch mine hand vpon them, & make the land waſte, and deſolate frõ the wildernes vnto Dibláth in all their habitacions, and they ſhal knowe, that I am the Lord.
