2 The parable of the captiuitie. 18 Another parable whereby the diſtres of hunger and thirſt is ſignified.
1.THe worde of ẏ Lord alſo came vnto me, ſaying,
4.Then ſhalt thou bring forthe thy ſtuffe by daie in their ſight as the ſtuffe of him ẏ goeth into captiuitie: & ẏ ſhalt go forthe at euen in their ſight, as thei that go forthe into captiuitie.
5.Dig thou through the wall in their ſight, and carie out thereby.
7.And as I was cōmanded, ſo I broght forthe my ſtuffe by day, as ẏ ſtuffe of one that goeth into captiuitie: and by night I digged through the wall with mine hand, and broght it forthe in the darke, and I bare it vpon my ſhulder in their ſight.
8.And in the morning came the worde of ẏ Lord vnto me, ſaying,
11.Saie, I am your ſigne: like as I haue done, ſo ſhal it be done vnto them: thei ſhal go into bondage & captiuitie.
12.And the chiefeſt that is amõg them, ſhal beare vpon his ſhulder in the darke and ſhal go forthe: thei ſhal digge through the wall, to carie out thereby: he ſhal couer his face yt he ſe not the grounde with his eyes.
14.And I wil ſcatter towarde euerie winde all that are about him to helpe him, and all his gariſons, and I wil drawe out the ſworde after them.
15.And thei ſhal knowe that I am the Lord, when I ſhal ſcatter the amõg the nacions, and diſperſe them in the countreis.
17.¶ Moreouer, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, ſaying,
18.Sonne of man, eat thy bread with trembling, and drinke thy water with trouble, & with carefulnes,
19.And ſay vnto the people of the land, Thus ſaith the Lord God of the inhabitants of Ieruſalém, and of the land of Iſraél, Thei ſhal eat their bread with carefulnes, & drinke their water with deſolatiõ: for the land ſhalbe deſolate frõ her abundance becauſe of the crueltie of them that dwell therein.
20.And the cities that are inhabited, ſhal be left voide, & the land ſhalbe deſolate, and ye ſhal knowe that I am the Lord.
21.¶ And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, ſaying,
23.Tel them therefore, Thus ſaith the Lord God, I wil make this prouerbe to ceaſe, & thei ſhal no more vſe it as a prouerbe in Iſraél: but ſay vnto them, The dayes are at hand and the effect of euerie viſion.
25.For I am the Lord: I wil ſpeake, and that thing that I ſhal ſpeake, ſhal come to paſſe: it ſhalbe no more prolonged: for in your daies, ô rebellious houſe, wil I ſay the thing, & wil perfome it, ſaith ye Lord God.
26.Againe the worde of the Lord came vnto me, ſaying,
28.Therefore ſay vnto thẽ, Thus ſaith the Lord God, All my wordes ſhal no longer be delayed, but ye thing which I haue ſpoken, ſhalbe done, ſaith the Lord God.
