1 The Prophet is moniſhed of the Lord to pray for the deliuerance of the people, which the Lord promiſed. 8 God forgiueth ſinnes for his owne glorie. 15 Of the birth of Chriſt. 20 The kingdome of Chriſt in the Church ſhal neuer be ended.
3.Call vnto me, and I wil anſwer thee, and ſhewe thee great & mightie things, which thou knoweſt not.
7.And I wil cauſe the captiuitie of Iudáh, and the captiuitie of Iſraél to returne, & wil buylde them as at the firſt.
10.Thus ſaith the Lord, Againe there ſhalbe heard in this place (which ye ſay ſhalbe deſolate, without man, and without beaſt, euen in the cities of Iudáh, & in the ſtretes of Ieruſalém, that are deſolate without man, and without inhabitant, and without beaſt)
12.Thus ſaith the Lord of hoſtes, Againe in this place, which is deſolate, without man, and without beaſt, and in all the cities thereof there ſhalbe dwelling for ſhepherdes to reſt their flockes.
14.Beholde, the dayes come, ſaith the Lord, that I wil performe ye good thing, which I haue promiſed vnto the houſe of Iſraél, and to the houſe of Iudáh.
17.For thus ſaith the Lord, Dauid ſhal neuer want a man to ſit vpõ the throne of the houſe of Iſraél.
19.¶ And the worde of the Lord came vnto Ieremiáh, ſaying,
21.Then may my couenant be broken with Dauid my ſeruant, that he ſhulde not haue a ſonne to reigne vpon his throne, and with the Leuites, & Prieſts my miniſters.
22.As ye armie of heauen can not be nõbred, nether the ſand of the ſea meaſured: ſo wil I multiplie the ſede of Dauid my ſeruant, and the Leuites, that miniſter vnto me.
23.¶ Moreouer, the worde of the Lord cãme to Ieremiáh, ſaying,
25.Thus ſaith the Lord, If my couenant be not with day and night, and if I haue not appointed the ordre of heauen and earth,
26.Then wil I caſt away the ſede of Iaakób and Dauid my ſeruãt, & not take of his ſede to be rulers ouer the ſede of Abrahám, Izhák, and Iaakób: for I wil cauſe their captiuitie to returne, and haue compaſſion on them.
