Exodus 9

The moraine of beaſtes 10 The plague of botches & ſo-res 23 The horrible haile, thundre, and the lightning. 26 The land of Goſhen euer is excepted 27 Pharaoh cōfeſſeth his wickednes 33 Moſes praieth for him. 35 Yet is he obſtinat.
.THen the Lord ſaid vnto Moſés, Go to Pharaoh, and tel him, Thus ſaith ye Lord God of the Ebrewes, Let my people go, that they may ſerue me.
.But if thou refuſe to let them go, & wilt yet holde them ſtil,
.Beholde, the hand of the Lord is vpó thy flocke which is in the field: for vpon ye horſes, vpon the aſſes, vpon the camels, vpon the cattel, & vpó the ſhepe ſhalbe a || mighty great moraine.
.And the Lord ſhal do a wonderfully betwene the beaſtes of Iſraél, and the beaſtes of Egypt: ſo that there ſhal nothing dye of all, yt perteineth to the childré of Iſraél.
.And the Lord appointed a time, ſaying, Tomorowe the Lord ſhal finiſh this thing in this land.
.So the Lord did it on the morowe, & all the cattel of Egypt dyed: but of the cattel of the children of Iſraél dyed not one.
.Then Pharaoh b ſent, and beholde, there was not one of the cattel of the Iſraelites dead: and the heart of Pharaoh was obſtinat, and he did not let the people go.
.¶ And the Lord ſaid to Moſés & to Aarón, Take your handful of " aſſhes of the fornace, and Moſés ſhal ſprinkle them towarde the heauen in the ſight of Pharaoh,
.And they ſhalbe turned to duſt in all the land of Egypt: & it ſhalbe as a ſcab breaking out into bliſters vpon man and vpon beaſt throughout all the land of Egypt.
.Then they toke aſſhes of the fornace, and ſtode before Pharaoh : and Moſés ſprinkled them towarde the heauen, and there came || a ſcab breaking out into bliſters vpon man, and vpon beaſt.
.And the forcerers colde not ſtād before Moſés, becauſe of ye ſcab: for the ſcab was vpon the enchanters, & vpon all the Egyptians. gyptians.
.And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaóh, and he hearkened not vnto thẽ, * as the Lord had ſaid vnto Moſes.
.¶ Alſo the Lord ſaid vnto Moſes, Riſe vp early in the morning, and ſtand before Pharaóh, and tel him, Thus saith the Lord God of ye Ebrewes, Let my people go, that they may ſerue me.
.For I wil at this time ſend all my plagues vpon c thine heart, and vpon thy ſeruants, & vpon thy people, that thou maieſt know that there is none like me in all the earth.
.For now I wil ſtretche out mine hand, that I may ſmite thee & thy people with the peſtilence : & thou ſhalt periſh from the earth.
.And in dede, * for this cauſe haue I " appointed thee, to " ſhewe my power in thee, & to declare my d Name throughout all the world.
.Yet thou exalteſt thy ſelfe againſt my people, and letteſt them not go.
.Beholde, tomorowe this time I wil cauſe to raine a mightie great haile, ſuche as was not in Egypt ſince the foundatiõ thereof was laid vnto this time.
.Send therefore now, and e gather thy cattel, and all that thou haſt in the field: for vpon all the men, & the beaſtes, which are founde in the field, and not broght home, the haile ſhal fall vpon them and they ſhal dye.
.Suche then as feared the worde of the Lord among the ſeruants of Pharaóh, made his ſeruants & his cattel flee into the houſes:
.But ſuche as " regarded not the f worde of the Lord, left his ſeruants, and his cattel in the field.
.¶ And the Lord ſaid to Moſes, Stretche forthe thine hãd toward heauen, that there may be haile in all the land of Egypt, vpon man and vpon beaſt, and vpon all ye herbes of the field in the land of Egypt.
.Then Moſes ſtretched out his rod toward heauen, and the Lord ſent thundre & g haile, and " lightening vpon the grounde : and the Lord cauſed haile to raine vpon the land of Egypt.
.So there was haile, & fire mingled with the haile, ſo grieuous, as there was none throughout all the land of Egypt, ſince " it was a nation.
.And the haile ſmote throughout all the lãd of Egypt all that was in ye field, bothe man and beaſt : alſo the haile ſmote all ye herbes of the field, and brake to pieces all the trees of the field.
.Onely in the land of Góſhen (where the children of Iſraél were) was no haile.
.Then Pharaóh ſent and called for Moſes and Aarón, and ſaid vnto them, I h haue now ſinned: the Lord is righteous, but I and my people are wicked.
.Pray ye vnto ye Lord (for it is ynough) that there be no more " mightie thunders & haile, and I wil let you go, and ye ſhal tary no longer.
.Then Moſes ſaid vnto him, Aſſone as I am out of ye citie, I wil ſpreade mine handes vnto the Lord, and the thunder ſhal ceaſe, neither ſhal there be any more haile, that thou maieſt know that the earth is the Lords.
.Now I knowe that thou, and thy ſeruãtes feare the Lord God, i before I pray.
.(And the flaxe, and the barly were ſmitten: for the barly was eared, and the flaxe was bolled.
.But the wheat & the rye were not ſmitten, for they were " hid in the grounde)
.Then Moſes went out of the citie from Pharaóh & ſpred his hands to the Lord, and the thundre and the haile ceaſed, neither rained it vpon the earth.
.And when Pharaóh ſaw that the raine and the haile and the thundre were ceaſed, he ſinned againe, and hardened his heart bothe he, and his ſeruants.
.So the heart of Pharaóh was hardened: neither wolde he let the children of Iſraél go, as the Lord had ſaid " by Moſes.
