Exodus 8

6 Frogges are ſent. 13 Moſés praieth and they dye. 17 Lyce are ſét, whereby the ſorcerers acknowledge Gods power 24 Egypt is plagued with noyſom flies. 30 Moſés praieth againe: 32 But Pharaohs heart is hardened.
1.AFterwarde the Lord ſaid vnto Moſés, Go vnto Pharaóh, and tel him, Thus ſaith the Lord, Let my people go, yt they may ſerue me:
2.And if thou wilt not let them go, beholde, I wil ſmite all thy coûtrey with a frogges:
3.And the riuer ſhal ſcrall ful of frogges, which ſhal go vp and come into thine houſe: and into thy chámbre, where thou ſlepeſt, and vpon thy bed, & into the houſe of thy ſeruants, and vpon thy people, and into thine ouens, and " into thy kneading troghes.
4.Yea, the frogges ſhal climbe vp vpon thee, and on thy people, and vpon all thy ſeruants.
5.¶ Alſo the Lord ſaid vnto Moſés, Say thou vnto Aarón, Stretch thine hand with thy rod vpon the ſtremes, vpon the riuers, and vpon the pódes, and cauſe frogges to come vp vpon the land of Egypt.
6.Then Aarón ſtretched his hád vpon the waters of Egypt, and the || frogges came vp, and couered the land of b Egypt.
7.And ye forcerers did likewiſe with their forceries, and broght frogges vp vpó the land of Egypt.
8.Then Pharaóh called for Moſés & Aarón, & ſaid, c Pray ye vnto the Lord that he may take away the frogges from me, and from my people, & I wil let the people go, that they may do ſacrifice vnto the Lord.
9.And Moſés ſaid vnto Pharaóh, " As concerning me, euen commande when I ſhal praye for thee, and for thy ſeruants, and for thy people, to deſtroye the frogges fró thee and from thine houfes, that they may remaine in the riuer onely.
10.Thé he ſaid, To morowe. And he anſwered, Be it " as ÿ haſt ſaid, that thou maieſt knowe, that there is none like vnto the Lord our God.
11.So the frogges ſhal departe fró thee, & from thine houſes, and from thy ſeruants, and from thy people: onely they ſhal remayne in the riuer.
12.Then Moſés and Aarón went out from Pharaóh: and Moſés cryed vnto the Lord cócerning the frogges, which he had " ſent vnto Pharaóh.
13.And the Lord did according to the ſaying of Moſés: ſo the frogges d dyed in the houſes, in the townes, & in the fields.
14.And they gathered them togither by heapes, and the land ſtanke of them.
15.But whé Pharaóh ſawe that he had reſt giuen him, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not vnto them, as the Lord had ſaid.
16.¶ Againe the Lord ſaid vnto Moſés, Say vnto Aarón, Stretche out thy rod, & ſmite the duſt of the earth, that it may be turned to || lyce throughout all the land of Egypt.
17.And they did ſo: for Aarón ſtretched out his hand with his rod, and ſmote the duſt of the earth: and lyce came vpó man & vpon beaſt: all the duſt of the earth was lyce throughout all the land of Egypt.
18.Now ye enchāters aſſaied likewiſe with their enchantments to bring forthe lyce, but they e colde not. ſo the lyce were vpó man and vpon beaſt.
19.Then ſaid ye enchanters vnto Pharaoh, This is f the finger of God. But Pharaohs heart remained obſtinat, and he hearckened not vnto them, as the Lord had ſaid.
20.¶ Moreouer the Lord ſaid to Moſés, Riſe vp early in ye morning, and ſtand before Pharaoh (lo, he wil come forthe vnto the water) & ſay vnto him, Thus ſaith ye Lord, Let my people go, that they may ſerue me.
21.Els, if yu wilt not let my people go, beholde, I wil ſend " ſwarmes of flies bothe vpon thee, & vpon thy ſeruants, and vpon thy people, & into thine houſes: and the houſes of the Egyptiās ſhalbe ful of ſwarmes of flies, and the grounde alſo whereon they are.
22.But the land of Goſhen, where my people are, wil I cauſe to be " wonderful in that day, ſo that no ſwarmes of flies ſhal be there, yt thou maieſt knowe that I am the Lord in the middes of the " earth.
23.And I wil make a deliuerāce of my people from thy people: to morowe ſhal this miracle be.
24.And the Lord did ſo: for there came || great ſwarmes of flies into the houſe of Pharaoh, and into his ſeruants houſes, ſo that through all the land of Egypt the earth was corrupt by the ſwarmes of flies.
25.Then Pharaoh called for Moſés and Aarón, & ſaid, Go, do ſacrifice vnto your God in this land.
26.But Moſés anſwered, It is not mete to do ſo: for then we ſhulde offre vnto the Lord our God that, which is an g abominacion vnto the Egyptians. Lo, can we ſacrifice the abominacion of the Egyptians before their eies, and they not ſtone vs?
27.Let vs go thre daies iourney in the deſert, & ſacrifice vnto the Lord our God, as he hathe commanded vs.
28.And Pharaoh ſaid, I wil let you go, yt ye may ſacrifice vnto the Lord your God in the wildernes: but h go not farre away, pray for me.
29.And Moſés ſaid, Beholde, I wil go out from thee, and pray vnto the Lord, that ye ſwarmes of flies may departe fró Pharaoh, from his ſeruants, and from his people tomorowe: but let Pharaoh i fró henceforthe deceiue no more, not ſuffring ye people to ſacrifice vnto the Lord.
30.So Moſés went out from Pharaoh and prayed vnto the Lord.
31.And the Lord did according to ye ſaying of Moſés, and the ſwarmes of flies departed from Pharaoh, from his ſeruants, and fró his people, & there remained not one.
32.Yet Pharaoh k hardened his heart euen then alſo, & did not let the people go.
