Exodus 10

7 Pharaohs ſeruants counſel him to let the Iſraelites departe 13 Greſhoppers deſtroye the countrey. 16 Pharaoh confeſſeth his ſinne 22 Darckenes is ſent 28 Pharaoh forbiddeth Moſes to come any more in his preſence.
1.AGaine the Lord ſaid vnto Moſes, Go to Pharaóh: for * I haue hardened his heart, & the heart of his ſeruants, that I might worke theſe my miracles " in the middes of his realme.
2.And that thou maieſt declare in the a eares of thy ſonne, and of thy ſonnes ſonne, what things I haue done in Egypt, & my miracles, which I haue done among them: that ye may know that I am the Lord.
3.Then Moſes and Aarón came vnto Pharaóh, and ſaid vnto him, Thus ſaith the Lord God of the Ebrewes, How lõg wilt thou refuſe b to humble thy ſelfe before me? Let my people go, that they may ſerue me.
4.But if thou refuſe to let my people go, beholde, tomorowe wil I bring " greſhoppers into thy coaſtes.
5.And they ſhal couer the face of the earth, that a man can not ſe the earth: and they ſhal eat the reſidue which remaineth vnto you, and hathe eſcaped from the haile: & they ſhal eat all your trees that bud in the field.
6.And they ſhal fil thine houſes, & all thy ſeruants houſes, and the houſes of all the Egyptians, as nether thy fathers, nor thy fathers fathers haue ſene, ſince the time they were vpon the earth vnto this day. So he returned, and went out from Pharaoh.
7.Then Pharaohs ſeruants ſaid vnto him, How lo n g ſhal he be " an offence vnto vs? let the men go, that they may ſerue the Lord their God: wilt thou firſt knowe yt Egypt is deſtroyed?
8.So Moſés and Aarón were broght againe vnto Pharaoh, & he ſaid to them, Go, ſerue the Lord your God, but who are they that ſhal go?
9.And Moſés anſwered, We wil go with our yong and with our olde, with our ſonnes and with our daughters, with our ſhepe and with our cattel wil we go: for we muſt celebrate a feaſt vnto the Lord.
10.And he ſaid vnto them, Let d the Lord ſo be with you, as I wil let you go and your children: beholde, for e euil is before your face.
11.It ſhal not be ſo: now go ye that are me n , and ſerue the Lord: for that was your deſire. Then they were thruſt out from Pharaohs preſence.
12.¶ After, ye Lord ſaid vnto Moſés, Stretch out thine hand vpon the land of Egypt for the greſhoppers, that they may come vpon the land of Egypt, and eat all the herbes of the land, euen all that the haile hathe left.
13.Then Moſés ſtretched forthe his rod vpon the land of Egypt: and the Lord broght an Eaſt winde vpon the land all that day, and all that night: and in the morning ye Eaſt winde broght the || greſhoppers.
14.So the greſhoppers went vp vpo n all the land of Egypt, and " remained in all quarters of Egypt: ſo grieuous greſhoppers, like to theſe were neuer before, nether after them ſhalbe ſuche.
15.For they couered all the face of ye earth, ſo that the land was darcke: and they did eat all the herbes of the land, and all the frutes of the trees, which ye haile had left, ſo yt there was no grene thing left vpon the trees, nor among ye herbes of the field throughout all the land of Egypt.
16.Therefore Pharaoh called for f Moſés and Aarón in haſte, and ſaid, I haue ſinned againſt the Lord your God, and againſt you.
17.And nowe forgiue me my ſinne onely this once, and pray vnto the Lord your God, that he may take away from me this death onely.
18.Moſés then went out from Pharaoh, and praied vnto the Lord.
19.And the Lord turned a mightie ſtrong Weſt winde, and toke away the greſhoppers, and violently caſt the m into the g Red Sea, ſo that there remained not one greſhopper in all the coaſt of Egypt.
20.But the Lord hardened Pharaohs heart, and he did not let the children of Iſraél go.
21.¶ Againe the Lord ſaid vnto Moſés, Stretch out thine hand toward heauen, yt there may be vpon ye la n d of Egypt darcknes, euen darcknes that may be h felt.
22.Then Moſés ſtretched forthe his hand toward heauen, and there was a || blacke * darcknes in all the land of Egypt thre dayes.
23.No man ſaw an other, nether roſe vp fro m the place where he was for thre dayes: * but all the children of Iſraél had light where they dwelt.
24.Then Pharaoh called for Moſés and ſaid, Go, ſerue the Lord: onely your ſhepe and your cattel ſhal abide, and your children ſhal go with you.
25.And Moſés ſaid, Thou muſt giue vs alſo ſacrifices, and burnt offrings that we may do ſacrifice vnto the Lord our God.
26.Therefore our cattel alſo ſhal go wt vs: there ſhal not an i hoofe be left, for thereof muſt we take to ſerue the Lord our God: nether do we knowe k how we ſhal ſerue the Lord, vntil we come thither.
27.(But ye Lord hardened Pharaohs heart, and he wolde not let them go)
28.And Pharaoh ſaid vnto him, Get thee fro m me: loke thou ſe my face no more: for whenſoeuer thou commeſt in my ſight, thou ſhalt l dye.
29.Then Moſés ſaid, Thou haſt ſaid wel: from henceforth wil I ſe thy face no more.
