Exodus 31

2 God maketh Bezaleél & Aholiáb mete for his worke. 13 The Sabbath day is the ſigne of our ſanctification. 18 The tables written by the finger of God.
1.ANd yͤ Lord ſpake vnto Moſés, ſaying,
2.Beholde, I a haue called by name, Bezaleél, the ſonne of Vrí, the ſonne of Hur of the tribe of Iudáh,
3.Whome I haue filled with the Spirit of God, in wiſdome, & in vnderſtanding & in knowledge & in all b workmanſhip:
4.To finde out curious workes to worke in golde, & in ſiluer, and in braſſe,
5.Alſo in the art to ſet ſtônes, and to carue in timber, and to worke in all maner of workmanſhip.
6.And beholde, I haue ioyned with hí Aholiáb the ſonne of Ahiſamach of the tribe of Dan, & in the heartes of all that are c wiſe hearted, haue I put wiſdome to make all yͤ I haue commanded thee:
7.That is, yͤ Tabernacle of yͤ Congregaciõ, and the Arke of the Teſtimonie, and the Mercieſeat that ſhalbe thereupon, with all inſtruments of the Tabernacle:
8.Alſo the Table and the inſtruments thereof, and the d pure Candelſticke with all his inſtruments, and the Altar of perfume:
9.Likewiſe the Altar of burnt offring with all his inſtrumẽts, and the Lauer with his fote:
10.Alſo the garmentes of the miniſtration, and the holy garmẽts for Aarón yͤ Prieſt, and the garmẽts of his ſonnes, to miniſter in the Prieſts office,
11.And the e anointing oyle, and ſwete perfume for the Sanctuarie: according to all that I haue commãded thee, ſhal they do.
12.¶ Afterward the Lord ſpake vnto Moſés, ſaying,
13.Speake thou alſo vnto the children of Iſraél, & ſay, f Notwithſtãding kepe ye my Sabbaths: for it is a ſigne betwene me and you in your generations, that ye may knowe that I the Lord do ſanctifie you.
14.* Ye ſhal therefore kepe yͤ g Sabbath: for it is holy vnto you: he that defileth it, ſhal dye yͤ death: therfore whoſoeuer worketh therein, the fame perſone ſhalbe euen cut of from among his people.
15.Six dayes ſhal men worke, but in the ſeuenth day is the Sabbath of the holy reſt to the Lord: whoſoeuer doeth any worke in the Sabbath day, ſhal dye the death.
16.Wherefore the childrẽ of Iſraél ſhal kepe the Sabbath, that they may obſerue the " reſt throughout their generations for an euerlaſting couenant.
17.It is a ſigne betwene me and the children of Iſraél for euer: * for in ſix dayes yͤ Lord made the heauen and the earth, and in the ſeuenth day h he ceaſed, and reſted.
18.Thus (when the Lord had made an end of cõmuning with Moſes vpon mount Sinái) * he gaue him two Tables i of the Teſtimonie, euen tables of ſtone, written with the finger of God.
