Exodus 30

1 The Altar of incenſe 13 The ſumme that the Iſrae-lites ſhulde pay to the Tabernacle. 16 The braſen La uer. 23 The anointing Oyle. 34 The making of the perfume.
1.FVrthermore thou ſhalt make an altar a for ſwete perfume,of Shittím wood thou ſhalt make it.
2.The length therof a cubite & yͤ breadth thereof a cubite (it ſhalbe foure ſquare) and the height thereof two cubites : the hornes thereof ſhalbe b of the ſame,
3.And yͧ ſhalt ouerlaie it with fine golde, bothe yͤ top thereof & yͤ ſides thereof roũd about,and his hornes: alſo thou ſhalt make vnto it " a crowne of gold roũde about.
4.Beſides Beſides this thou ſhalt make vnder this crowne two golden rings on ether ſide: euen on euerie ſide ſhalt thou make them, that thei may be as places for the barres to beare it with all.
5.The w̃ barres thou ſhalt make of Shittim wood, and ſhalt couer them w̃ golde.
6.After thou ſhalt ſet it c before the vaile, that is nere the Arke of Teſtimonie, before the Merciſeat that is vpon the Teſtimonie, where I wil appoint with thee.
7.And Aarón ſhal burne thereon ſwete incenſe euerie morning: when he d dreſſeth the lampes thereof, ſhal he burne it.
8.Likewiſe at euen, when Aarón ſetteth vp the lãpes thereof, he ſhal burne incẽſe: this perfume ſhalbe perpetually before the Lord, throughout your generations.
9.Ye ſhal offre no e ſtrange incenſe thereon, nor burnt ſacrifice, not offring, nether powre anie drinke offring f thereon.
10.And Aarón ſhal make recóciliation vpó ỹ hornes of it once in a yere w̃ the blood of the ſinne offring in the day of recóciliation: once in the yere ſhal he make reconciliation vpon it throughout your generations: this is moſte holy vnto the Lord.
11.¶Afterward the Lord ſpake vnto Moſés, ſaying,
12.* When thou takeſt the ſumme of ỹ children of Iſraél after their nõbre, then they ſhal giue euerie man g a redemption of his life vnto the Lord, whẽ thou telleſt them, that there be no plague among them whẽ thou counteſt them.
13.This ſhal euerie mã giue, that goeth into the nombre, half a ſhekel, after the h ſhekel of the Sanctuarie: ( * a ſhekel is twenty geráhs) the halfe ſhekel ſhalbe an offring to the Lord.
14.All that are nõbred frõ twenty yere olde and aboue, ſhal giue an offring to ỹ Lord.
15.The riche ſhal not paſſe, and the poore ſhal not diminiſh from halfe a ſhekel, whẽ ye ſhal giue an offring vnto ỹ Lord, i for the redemption of your liues.
16.So thou ſhalt take the money of ỹ redẽption of the children of Iſraél, and ſhalt put it vnto the vſe of the Tabernacle of ỹ Cõgregacion, that it may be a memorial vnto the children of Iſraél before ỹ Lord for the redemption of your liues.
17.¶Alſo ỹ Lord ſpake vnto Moſés, ſaying,
18.Thou ſhalt alſo make a lauer of braſſe, & his fote of braſſe to waſh, and ſhalt put it betwene ỹ Tabernacle of ỹ Congrega-ció & the altar, & ſhalt put water therein.
19.For Aarón and his ſonnes ſhal k waſh their hands and their fete thereat.
20.When they go into the Tabernacle of the Congregacion, or when they go vnto the altar to miniſter & to make ỹ perfume of the burnt offring to the Lord, they ſhal waſh thẽ ſelues with water, leſt they dye.
21.So they ſhal waſh their hãds & their fete ỹ they dye not: & this ſhalbe to thẽ an ordinance l for euer, bothe vnto him and to his ſede throughout their generacions.
22.¶Alſo ỹ Lord ſpake vnto Moſés, ſaying,
23.Take thou alſo vnto thee, principal ſpices of ỹ moſte pure myrrhe fiue hũdreth ſhekels, of ſwete cinamó halfe ſo muche m , that is, two hundreth & fiftie, and of ſwete n calamus, two hundreth, and fiftie:
24.Alſo of caſsia fiue hundreth, after the ſhekel of the Sanctuarie, and of oile oliue an * Hin.
25.So thou ſhalt make of it the oile of holy ointment, euen a moſte precious ointment after the arte of the apotecarie: this
26.And thou ſhalt anoint yͤ o Tabernacle of the Congregacion therewith, & the Arke of the Teſtimonie:
27.Alſo the Table, and all the inſtruments therof, and the Candelſticke, with all yͤ inſtruments thereof, & the altar of incenſe:
28.Alſo the altar of burnt offring with all his inſtruments, and the Lauer & his fote.
29.So thou ſhalt ſanctifie them, and they ſhalbe moſte holy: all yͤ ſhal touche them, ſhalbe holy.
30.Thou ſhalt alſo anoint Aarón and his ſonnes, and ſhalt conſecrat them, that they may miniſtre vnto me in the Prieſts office.
31.Moreouer thou ſhalt ſpeake vnto yͤ children of Iſraél, ſaying, This ſhal be an holy ointing oyle vnto me, throughout your generacions.
32.None ſhal anoint p mãs fleſh therewith, nether ſhal ye make any compoſition like vnto it: for it is holy, and ſhalbe holy vnto you.
33.Whoſoeuer ſhal make yͤ like ointemẽt, or whoſoeuer ſhal put any of it vpon q a ſtrãger, euẽ he ſhalbe cut of from his people.
34.And the Lord ſaid vnto Moſés, Take vnto thee theſe ſpices, pure myrrhe & r cleare gũme and galbanum, theſe odoures with pure frankincenſe, of eche like weight:
35.Then thou ſhalt make of them perfume compoſed after the arte of the apotecary, mingled together, pure & holy.
36.And thou ſhalt beate it to pouder, and ſhalt put of it before the Arke of yͤ Teſtimonie in the Tabernacle of the Congregacion, where I wil make appointement with thee: it ſhalbe vnto you moſte holy.
37.And ye ſhal not make vnto you any cõpoſition like this perfume, which thou ſhalt make: it ſhalbe vnto thee holy for the s Lord.
38.Whoſoeuer ſhal make like vnto that to ſmel thereto, euẽ he ſhal be cut of from his people.
