Exodus 29

The maner of conſecrating the Prieſts 38 The conti-
.THis thing alſo ſhalt thou do vnto thé when thou cōſecrateſt them to be my Prieſts, * Take a yong calf, and two rams without blemiſh,
.And vnleauened bread & cakes vnleaue- ned tempered with oyle, & wafers vnlea- uened anointed with oyle: (of fine wheat flower ſhalt thou make them)
.Thē ÿ ſhalt put thē in one baſket, & a pre ſent them in the baſket with the calf and the two rams, in ſacrifice.
.And ſhalt bring Aarón and his ſonnes vnto the dore of the Tabernacle of ÿ Cō gregacion, and waſh them with water.
.Alſo thou ſhalt take the garments, & put vpon Aarón the tunicle, and the robe of the b Ephod, and the Ephod, and the breſt plate, and ſhalt cloſe th m to him with the broydred garde of the Ephod. next vnder the Ephod
.Then thou ſhalt put the mitre vpon his head, and ſhalt put the holy * crowne vpon the mitre.
.And thou ſhalt take the anointing * oy- le, and ſhalt powre vpon his head, and anoint him.
.And thou ſhalt bring his ſonnes, and put coates vpon them,
.And ſhalt girde them with girdels, bothe Aarón & his ſonnes: and ſhalt put the bo- nets on them, and the Prieſtes office ſhal- be theirs for a perpetual lawe: thou * ſhalt alſo " fil the hands of Aarón, and the hāds of his ſonnes. them
.After, thou ſhalt preſent the calf before the Tabernacle of the Cōgregacion * and Aarón and his ſonnes ſhalt c put their hāds vpon the head of the calf. that the ſacrifi ce was aſſu of- fred for them, and that they did approue it:
.So thou ſhalt kil the calf befor ÿ Lord, at the dore of the Tabernacle of the Con gregacion.
.Then thou ſhalt take of ÿ blood of the calf, and put it vpon the hornes of the al- tar with thy finger, and ſhalt powre all the reſt of the blood at the fote of the altar.
.* Alſo thou ſhalt take all the fat that co- uereth the inwardes, and the kall, that is on the liuer, and the two kidneis, and the fat that is vpon thē, and ſhalt burne them vpon the altar.
.But the fleſh of the calf, and his ſkin, and his doūg ſhalt thou burne with fire with out the hoſte: it is a " ſinne offring. 2 cor. 5.21
.¶ Thou ſhalt alſo take one ram, and Aa- rón and his ſonnes ſhal put their hands vpon the head of the ram.
.Then thou ſhalt kil the ram, and take his blood, and ſprinkle it round about vpon the altar,
.And thou ſhalt cut the ram in pieces, and waſh ÿ inwardes of him and his legges, & ſhalt put them vpō the pieces thereof, and vpon his head.
.So thou ſhalt burne the whole ram vpon the altar: for it is a burnt offring vnto the Lord d for a ſwete ſauour: it is an offring made by fire vnto the Lord. of reſt, which cauſeth the wrath of God to ceaſe
.¶ And thou ſhalt take the other ram, and Aarón and his ſonnes ſhal put their hands vpon the head of the ram.
.Then ſhalt thou kil the ram, and take of his blood & put it e vpon the lap of Aarōs eare, and vpon the lap of the right eare of his ſonnes, and vpon the thumbe of their right hand, & vpon the great toe of their right fote, and ſhalt ſprinkle the blood vpon the altar round about. ſoft & nether parte of the eare.
.And thou ſhalt take of the blood that is f vpon the altar, and of the anointing oyle, and ſhalt ſprinkle it vpon Aarón, and vpō his garments, and vpon his ſonnes, and vp- on the garments of his ſonnes with him: ſo he ſhalbe halowed, and his clothes, and his ſonnes, and the garments of his ſon- nes with him. the altar muſt be ſprinkled
.Alſo thou ſhalt take of the rams ÿ fat & the rompe, euen the fat that couereth the inwardes, and the kall of the liuer, and the two kidneis, and the fat that is vpon them, and the right ſhulder, (for it is the g ram of conſecration) fred for the cō ſecration of the Prieſt.
.And one loaf of bread, and one cake of bread tempered with oyle, & one wafer, out of ÿ baſket of the vnleauened bread that is before the Lord.
.And thou ſhalt put all this in the hāds of Aarón, and in the hāds of his ſonnes, and ſhalt ſhake them to and fro before yͤ Lord.
.Againe, thou ſhalt receiue them of their hands, and burne them vpon the altar beſides the burnt offring for a ſwete ſauour before the Lord: for this is an offring made by fire vnto the Lord.
.Likewiſe thou ſhalt take the breſt of the ram of the conſecracion, which is for Aarón,and ſhalt ſhake it to h and fro before the Lord, and it ſhalbe thy parte.
.And thou ſhalt ſanctifie the breſt of the ſhaken offring,& the ſhulder of the i heaue offring , which was ſhaken to and fro, & which was heaued vp of the ram of the conſecracion, which was for Aarón, and which was for his ſonnes.
.And Aarón and his ſonnes ſhal haue it by a ſtatute for euer,of the children of Iſraél:for it is an heaue offring, and it ſhalbe an heaue offring of the children of Iſraél,of their k peace offrings, euen their heaue offring to the Lord.
.¶And the holy garméts,which apperteyne to Aarón,ſhalbe his ſonnes after him, to be anointed therein, and to be co̅ſecrat therein.
.That ſonne that ſhalbe Prieſt in his ſtede, ſhal put them on ſeuen dayes, when he cometh into the Tabernacle of the Congregacion to miniſter in the holy place.
.¶So thou ſhalt take the ram of yͤ co̅ſeciacion, and ſethe his fleſh in the holy place.
.* And Aarón and his ſonnes ſhal eat the fleſh of the ram, and the bread that is in yͤ baſket,at the dore of the Tabernacle of yͤ Congregacion.
.So they ſhal eat theſe things, l whereby their atonemét was made,to co̅ſecrat the̅, and to ſanctifie the̅:but a ſtranger ſhal not eate thereof, becauſe they are holy things.
.Now if oght of yͤ fleſh of the co̅ſecracio̅, or of yͤ bread remaine vnto the morning, then thou ſhalt burne the reſt with fire: it ſhal not be eaté,becauſe it is an holy thíg.
.Therefore ſhalt thou do thus vnto Aarón and vnto his ſonnes, according to all things, which I haue commanded thee:ſeuen daies ſhalt thou " conſecrat them,
.And ſhalt offer euerie day a calf or a ſinne offring, for m reconciliation: and thou ſhalt clenſe yͤ altar, when thou haſt offred vpon it for reconciliation,& ſhalt anoint it,to ſanctifie it.
.Seuen daies ſhalt thou clenſe the altar, and ſanctifie it , ſo the altar ſhalbe moſte holy: and whatſoeuer toucheth the altar, ſhalbe holy.
.* Now this is yͤ which thou ſhalt preſent vpon the altar: euen two la̅bes of one yere olde, day by day continually.
.The one lambe thou ſhalt preſent in the morning, and the other lambe thou ſhalt preſent at euen.
.And with yͤ one la̅be,a n tenth parte of fine floure mingled w̅ the fourte parte of an o Hin of beaten oile , and the fourte parte of an Hin of wine, for a drinke offring.
.And the other lambe yͧ ſhalt preſent at euen: thou ſhalt do thereto according to the offring of the morning, & according to the drinke offring thereof, to be a burnt offring for a ſwete ſauour vnto the Lord.
.This ſhal be a continual burnt offring in your generatiós at the dore of the Tabernacle of the Co̅gregacion before yͤ Lord, where I wil " make appointment with you, to ſpeake there vnto thee.
.There I wil appoint with the children of Iſraél,and the place ſhalbe ſanctified by my p glorie.
.And I wil ſanctifie the Tabernacle of yͤ Co̅gregacion & the altar: I wil ſanctifie alſo Aarón & his ſonnes to be my Prieſts,
.And I wil * dwel among the children of Iſraél,and wil be their God.
.Then ſhal they knowe that I am yͤ Lord their God,that broght them out of yͤ land of Egypt, that I might dwel among them: q I am the Lord their God.
