Exodus 28

The Lord calleth Aarón & his ſonnes to the Prieſtho-de 4 Their garmēts 12 29 Aaron entreth in to the Sā-ctuarie in the name of the children of Iſraél 30 Vrim and Thummim 38 Aaron beareth the iniquitie of the Iſraelites offrings.
.ANd cauſe thou thy brother Aarón to come vnto thee and his ſonnes wͤ him, from among the children of Iſraél, that he may ſerue me in the Prieſts office: I meane Aarón, Nadáb, and Abihú, Eleazár, and Ithamár Aaróns ſonnes.
.Alſo yͤ ſhalt make holy garments for Aarón thy brother, a glorious & beautiful.
.Therefore thou ſhalt ſpeake vnto all " cōning mē, whome I haue filled with the ſpirite of wiſdome, that they make Aarons garments to b conſecrate him, that he may ſerue me in the Prieſtes office.
.Now theſe ſhalbe yͤ garmēts, wͤ thei ſhal make, a breſt plate, & a c Ephod, & a robe, & a broydred coat, a mitre, & a girdle. so the holy garméts shal they make for Aarón thy brother, & for his sonnes, that he may serue me in the Priests office.
.Therefore they shal take golde, & blewe silke, and purple, and skarlet, & fine linen,
.¶ And they shal make the Ephod of golde, blewe silke, and purple, skarlet, & fine twined linen of broydred worke.
.The two shulders thereof shalbe ioyned together by their two edges : so shal it be closed.
.And ye d embroydred garde of the same Ephod, which shalbe vpó him, shalbe of ye selfe same worke and stuffe, euen of golde, blewe silke, and purple, and skarlet, and fine twined linen.
.And thou shalt take two onix stones, and graue vpon them the names of the children of Israél:
.Six names of thé vpon the one stone, & the six names that remaine, vpó the secóde stone, according to e their generaciós.
.Thou shalt cause to graue ye two stones accordig to the names of ye childré of Israél by a grauer of signets, yt worketh and graueth in stone, and shalt make them to be set and embossed in golde.
.And thou shalt put the two stones vpon the shulders of the Ephod, as stones of f remébrance of ye children of Israél: for Aarón shal beare their names before ye Lord vpó his two shulders for a remébrance.
.So thou shalt make bosses of golde,
.¶ And two cheines of fine golde g at the ende, of wrethed worke shalt ye make them, & shalt fasten the wrethed cheines vpon the bosses.
.¶ Also thou shalt make the brest plate of h iudgemét with broydred worke: like the worke of the Ephod shalt thou make it: of golde, blewe silke, and purple, and skarlet, & fine twined linen shalt ye make it.
.i Foure square it shalbe and double, an hand bred long and an hand bred broad.
.Then thou shalt set it ful of places for stones, euen foure rowes of stones: ye ordre shalbe this, a " ruby, a " topaze, and a " carbúcle in the first rowe.
.And in the seconde rowe thou shalt set an " emeraude, a saphir, and a diamond.
.And in ye third rowe a turkeis, an achate, and an hematite.
.And in the fourte rowe a " chrysolite, an onix, and a iasper: and they shalbe set in golde in their embossements.
.And the stones shalbe according to the names of the childré of Israél, twelue, according to their names, grauen as signets, euerie one after his name, & they shalbe for the twelue tribes.
.¶ Then thou shalt make vpon the brest Plate two cheines at the endes of wrethen worke of pure golde.
.Thou shalt make also vpó the brest plate two rings of golde, and put the two rings on k the two endes of the brest plate.
.And thou shalt put the two wrethé cheines of golde in the two rings in the endes of the brest plate.
.And the other two endes of the two wrethen cheines, thou shalt fasten in the two embossements, and shalt put them vpó the shulders of the Ephod on ye foreside of it.
.¶ Also thou shalt make two rings of golde, which thou shalt put in the l two other endes of the brest plate, vpon the border thereof, toward ye inside of ye Ephod.
.And two other rings of golde thou shalt make, & put them on the two sides of the Ephod, beneth in the fore parte of it ouer against the coupling of it vpon the broydred garde of the Ephod.
.Thus they shal binde the brest plate by his rings vnto the rings of the Ephod, wt a lace of blewe silke, that it may be fast vpon the broydred garde of the Ephod, & yt the brest plate be not losed fró ye Ephod.
.So Aarón shal m beare the names of the childré of Israél in the brest plate of iudgement vpon his heart, when he goeth into the holy place, for a remembrance continually before the Lord.
.¶ Also thou shalt put in the brest plate of iudgement the n Vrim & the Thúmim, wc shalbe vpó Aarons heart, whé he goeth in before the Lord: and Aarón shal beare the iudgemét of the children of Israél vpon his heart before the Lord continually.
.¶ And thou shalt make the robe of the Ephod altogether of blewe silke.
.And the hole for his heade shalbe in the middes of it, haui n g an edge of woué worke rounde about ye coller of it: so it shalbe as ye coller of an habergeó that it rét not.
.¶ And beneth vpon the skirtes thereof ye shalt make pomgranates of blewe silke, & purple, & skarlet, round about the skirtes thereof and belles of golde betwene them round about:
.That is, * a golden bel and a pomgranate, a golden bel and a pomgranate rounde about vpon the skirtes of the robe.
.So it shalbe vpon Aarón, when he ministreth, and his sound shalbe heard, when he goeth into the holy place before the Lord, and when he commeth out, and he shal not dye.
.¶ Also thou shalt make a plate of pure golde, & graue theró, as signets are graué, o HOLINES TO THE LORD,
.And ye shalt put it on a blewe silke lace, and it shalbe vpon the mitre: euen vpon ye fore fronte of the mitre shal it be.
.So it shalbe vpon Aaróns forehead, that Aarón may p beare the iniquitie of ye offrings frings, which the childrē of Iſrael ſhal of- fre in all their holy offrigs: & it ſhalbe al- waies vpon his forehead, to make them ac- ceptable before the Lord.
.Likewiſe thou ſhalt embroydre the fine linen coat, and thou ſhalt make a mitre of fine linen, but thou ſhalt make a gir- del of nedle worke.
.Alſo thou ſhalt make for Aarons ſon- nes coates, & thou ſhalt make thē girdels, & bonets ſhalt thou make them for glorie and comelines.
.And thou ſhalt put them vpon Aarón thy brother, & on his ſonnes with him, & ſhalt anoynt them, and q fil their hands, and ſanctifie them, ÿ they may miniſtre vnto me in the Prieſts office. ſecrat thē, by giuing them things to of- fre, and therby admit them to their office
.Thou ſhalt alſo make them linen bre- ches to couer their priuities: frō the loy- nes vnto the thighs ſhal they reache.
.And they ſhalbe for Aarón and his ſon- nes when they come into the Tabernacle " of the Cōgregacion, or when they come vnto the altar to miniſter in ÿ holy place, that they r cōmit not iniquitie, & ſo dye. This ſhalbe a lawe for euer vnto him and to his ſede after him. ding their na- kednes.
