Exodus 28

The Lord calleth Aarón & his ſonnes to the Prieſthode 4 Their garmēts 12 29 Aaron entreth in to the Sāctuarie in the name of the children of Iſraél 30 Vrim and Thummim 38 Aaron beareth the iniquitie of the Iſraelites offrings.
.ANd cauſe thou thy brother Aarón to come vnto thee and his ſonnes wͤ him, from among the children of Iſraél, that he may ſerue me in the Prieſts office: I meane Aarón, Nadáb, and Abihú, Eleazár, and Ithamár Aaróns ſonnes.
.Alſo yͤ ſhalt make holy garments for Aarón thy brother, glorious & beautiful.
.Therefore thou ſhalt ſpeake vnto all cōning mē, whome I haue filled with the ſpirite of wiſdome, that they make Aarons garments to conſecrate him, that he may ſerue me in the Prieſtes office.
.Now theſe ſhalbe yͤ garmēts, wͤ thei ſhal make, a breſt plate, & a Ephod, & a robe, & a broydred coat, a mitre, & a girdle. ſo the holy garméts ſhal they make for Aarón thy brother, & for his ſonnes, that he may ſerue me in the Prieſts office.
.Therefore they ſhal take golde, & blewe ſilke, and purple, and ſkarlet, & fine linen,
.¶ And they ſhal make the Ephod of golde, blewe ſilke, and purple, ſkarlet, & fine twined linen of broydred worke.
.The two ſhulders thereof ſhalbe ioyned together by their two edges: ſo ſhal it be cloſed.
.And ye embroydred garde of the ſame Ephod, which ſhalbe vpó him, ſhalbe of ye ſelfe ſame worke and ſtuffe, euen of golde, blewe ſilke, and purple, and ſkarlet, and fine twined linen.
.And thou ſhalt take two onix ſtones, and graue vpon them the names of the children of Iſraél:
.Six names of thé vpon the one ſtone, & the ſix names that remaine, vpó the ſecóde ſtone, according to their generaciós.
.Thou ſhalt cauſe to graue ye two ſtones accordig to the names of ye childré of Iſraél by a grauer of ſignets, yt worketh and graueth in ſtone, and ſhalt make them to be ſet and emboſſed in golde.
.And thou ſhalt put the two ſtones vpon the ſhulders of the Ephod, as ſtones of remébrance of ye children of Iſraél: for Aarón ſhal beare their names before ye Lord vpó his two ſhulders for a remébrance.
.So thou ſhalt make boſſes of golde,
.¶ And two cheines of fine golde at the ende, of wrethed worke ſhalt ye make them, & ſhalt faſten the wrethed cheines vpon the boſſes.
.¶ Alſo thou ſhalt make the breſt plate of iudgemét with broydred worke: like the worke of the Ephod ſhalt thou make it: of golde, blewe ſilke, and purple, and ſkarlet, & fine twined linen ſhalt ye make it.
.Foure ſquare it ſhalbe and double, an hand bred long and an hand bred broad.
.Then thou ſhalt ſet it ful of places for ſtones, euen foure rowes of ſtones: ye ordre ſhalbe this, a ruby, a topaze, and a carbúcle in the firſt rowe.
.And in the ſeconde rowe thou ſhalt ſet an emeraude, a ſaphir, and a diamond.
.And in ye third rowe a turkeis, an achate, and an hematite.
.And in the fourte rowe a chryſolite, an onix, and a iaſper: and they ſhalbe ſet in golde in their emboſſements.
.And the ſtones ſhalbe according to the names of the childré of Iſraél, twelue, according to their names, grauen as ſignets, euerie one after his name, & they ſhalbe for the twelue tribes.
.¶ Then thou ſhalt make vpon the breſt Plate two cheines at the endes of wrethen worke of pure golde.
.Thou ſhalt make alſo vpó the breſt plate two rings of golde, and put the two rings on the two endes of the breſt plate.
.And thou ſhalt put the two wrethé cheines of golde in the two rings in the endes of the breſt plate.
.And the other two endes of the two wrethen cheines, thou ſhalt faſten in the two emboſſements, and ſhalt put them vpó the ſhulders of the Ephod on ye foreſide of it.
.¶ Alſo thou ſhalt make two rings of golde, which thou ſhalt put in the two other endes of the breſt plate, vpon the border thereof, toward ye inſide of ye Ephod.
.And two other rings of golde thou ſhalt make, & put them on the two ſides of the Ephod, beneth in the fore parte of it ouer againſt the coupling of it vpon the broydred garde of the Ephod.
.Thus they ſhal binde the breſt plate by his rings vnto the rings of the Ephod, wt a lace of blewe ſilke, that it may be faſt vpon the broydred garde of the Ephod, & yt the breſt plate be not loſed fró ye Ephod.
.So Aarón ſhal beare the names of the childré of Iſraél in the breſt plate of iudgement vpon his heart, when he goeth into the holy place, for a remembrance continually before the Lord.
.¶ Alſo thou ſhalt put in the breſt plate of iudgement the Vrim & the Thúmim, wc ſhalbe vpó Aarons heart, whé he goeth in before the Lord: and Aarón ſhal beare the iudgemét of the children of Iſraél vpon his heart before the Lord continually.
.¶ And thou ſhalt make the robe of the Ephod altogether of blewe ſilke.
.And the hole for his heade ſhalbe in the middes of it, hauĩg an edge of woué worke rounde about ye coller of it: ſo it ſhalbe as ye coller of an habergeó that it rét not.
.¶ And beneth vpon the ſkirtes thereof ye ſhalt make pomgranates of blewe ſilke, & purple, & ſkarlet, round about the ſkirtes thereof and belles of golde betwene them round about:
.That is, a golden bel and a pomgranate, a golden bel and a pomgranate rounde about vpon the ſkirtes of the robe.
.So it ſhalbe vpon Aarón, when he miniſtreth, and his ſound ſhalbe heard, when he goeth into the holy place before the Lord, and when he commeth out, and he ſhal not dye.
.¶ Alſo thou ſhalt make a plate of pure golde, & graue theró, as ſignets are graué, HOLINES TO THE LORD,
.And ye ſhalt put it on a blewe ſilke lace, and it ſhalbe vpon the mitre: euen vpon ye fore fronte of the mitre ſhal it be.
.So it ſhalbe vpon Aaróns forehead, that Aarón may beare the iniquitie of ye offrings frings, which the childrē of Iſrael ſhal offre in all their holy offrigs: & it ſhalbe alwaies vpon his forehead, to make them acceptable before the Lord.
.Likewiſe thou ſhalt embroydre the fine linen coat, and thou ſhalt make a mitre of fine linen, but thou ſhalt make a girdel of nedle worke.
.Alſo thou ſhalt make for Aarons ſonnes coates, & thou ſhalt make thē girdels, & bonets ſhalt thou make them for glorie and comelines.
.And thou ſhalt put them vpon Aarón thy brother, & on his ſonnes with him, & ſhalt anoynt them, and fil their hands, and ſanctifie them, ÿ they may miniſtre vnto me in the Prieſts office.
.Thou ſhalt alſo make them linen breches to couer their priuities: frō the loynes vnto the thighs ſhal they reache.
.And they ſhalbe for Aarón and his ſonnes when they come into the Tabernacle of the Cōgregacion, or when they come vnto the altar to miniſter in ÿ holy place, that they cōmit not iniquitie, & ſo dye. This ſhalbe a lawe for euer vnto him and to his ſede after him.
