Psalms 109

David being falsely accused by flatters unto Saúl, praieth God to help him and to destroy his enemies. 8 And under them he speaketh of Judas the traitor unto Jesus Christ, and of all the like enemies of the children of God 27 And desireth so to be delivered, that his enemies maie knowe the work to be of God. 30 Then doeth he promise to give praises unto God.
¶ To him that excelleth. A Psalme of David.
.Hold not thy tongue, ô God of my apraise.
.For the mouth of the wicked, and the mouth ful of deceit are opened upon me: they have spoken to me with a lying tongue.
.Thei compassed me about also with words of hatred, & fought against me without a cause.
.For my friendship thei were mine adversaries, bbut I gave my self to praier.
.And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my friendship.
.cSet thou the wicked over him, and let the adversary stand at his right hand.
.When he shalbe judged, let him be condemned, and let his dpraier be turned into sin.
.Let his daies be few, and let another take his echarge.
.Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
.Let his children be vagabonds and beg and seek bread, coming out of their places destroyed.
.Let fthe extortioner catch all that he hath, and let the strangers spoil his labour.
.Let there be none to extend mercie unto him: neither let there be any to show mercie upon his fatherless children.
.Let his posterity be destroyed, and in the generation following let their name be put out.
.gLet the iniquity of his fathers be had in remembrance with the Lord: and let not the sin of his mother be done away.
.But let them alway be before the Lord, that he maie cut off their memorial from the earth.
.Because hhe remembred not to shewe mercie, but persecuted the afflicted & poor man, & the sorrowful hearted to slay him.
.As he loved cursing, iso shal it come unto him, and as he loved not blessing, so shal it be far from him.
.As he clothed him self with cursing like a raiment, so shal it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.
.Let it be unto him as a garment to cover him, and for a girdle, wherewith he shalbe alwaie girded.
.Let this be the reward of mine adversary kfrom the Lord, and of them, that speak evil against my soul.
.But thou, ô Lord my God, deal with me according unto thy lName: deliver me, (for thy mercie is good)
.Because I am poor and nedie, and mine heart is wounded within me.
.I depart like a shadow that declineth, and am shaken off as the mgrasshopper.
.My knees are weak through fasting, and my flesh nhathe lost all fatnes.
.I became also a rebuke unto them: they that looked upon me, shaked their heads.
.Help me, ô Lord my God: osave me according to thy mercie.
.And they shal knowe, that this is thine hand, and that thou, Lord, hast done it.
.Though they pcurse, yet thou wilt bless: they shal arise and be confounded, but thy servant shal rejoyce.
.Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their confusion, as with a cloke.
.I wil give thanks unto the Lord greatly with my qmouth, and praise him among the multitude.
.For he wil stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from them that would rcondemne his soul.
