2 The Lord appeareth the ſeconde time to Salomón. 11 Salomón giueth cities to Hirám. 20 The Canaanites become tributaries. 28 He ſendeth for the a nauie for golde.
1.WHen * Salomón had finiſhed the buylding of the houſe of ye Lord, and the Kings palace, and all that Salomón deſired and minded to do,
2.Then the Lord appeared vnto Salomón ye ſeconde time, as he * appeared vnto him at Gibeón.
3.And ye Lord ſaid vnto him, I haue heard thy prayer and thy ſupplicacion, that thou haſt made before me: I haue halowed this houſe (which thou haſt buylt) to * put my Name there for euer, and mine eyes, and mine heart ſhal be there perpetually.
4.And a if thou wilt walke before me (as Dauid thy father walked in purenes of heart, & in righteouſnes) to do according to all that I haue cõmãded thee, and kepe my ſtatutes, and my iudgements,
5.Then wil I ſtabliſh the throne of thy kingdome vpõ Iſraél for euer, as I promiſed to Dauid thy father, ſaying, * Thou ſhalt not want a man vpon the throne of Iſraél.
6.b But if ye and your children turne away from me, and wil b not kepe my cõmãdemẽts, and my ſtatutes, (which I haue ſet before you) but go and ſerue other gods, and worſhip them,
7.Then wil I cut of Iſraél from the land, which I haue giuen them, and the houſe which I haue halowed * for my Name, wil I caſt out of my ſight, and Iſraél ſhalbe a c prouerbe, and a cõmune talke among all people.
8.Euen this hie houſe ſhalbe ſo eucerie one that paſſeth by it, ſhalbe aſtonied, and ſhal hiſſe, and they ſhal ſay, * Why hathe the Lord done thus vnto this land and to this houſe?
9.And they ſhal anſwer, Becauſe they forſoke the Lord their God, which broght their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and haue taken holde vpon other gods, and haue worſhiped them, and ſerued them, therefore hathe the Lord broght vpon them all this euil.
10.* And at the end of twentie yeres, when Salomón had buylded the two houſes, the houſe of the Lord, and the Kings palace,
11.(For the which Hirám the King of Tyrus had broght to Salomón timber of cedre, and firre trees, and golde, and whatſoeuer he deſired) then King Salomón gaue to Hirám twẽtie cities in the lãd of " Galil.
12.And Hirám came out from Tyrus to ſe the cities which Salomón had giuen him, and they pleaſed him not.

16.Pharaóh King of Egypt had come vp, and taken Gézer, and burnt it with fire, & ſlewe the Canaanites, that dwelt in the citie, and gaue it for a preſent vnto his daughter Salomons wife.
17.(Therefore Salomón buylt Gézer and Beth-horón the nether,
18.And Baalath and Tamór in the wildernes of the land,
19.And all the cities g of ſtore, that Salomón had, euen cities for charets, and cities for horſemen, and all that Salomón deſired & wolde buyld in Ieruſalém, and in Lebanón and in all the land of his dominion)
20.All the people that were h left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hiuites, & Iebuſites, which were not of the childrẽ of Iſraél:
21.To wit, their children that were left after them them in the land, whome the children of Iſraél were not able to deſtroye, thoſe did Salomón make tributaries vnto this day.
22.But of the children of Iſraél did Salomón * make no bondmen: but they were men of warre and his ſeruants, and his princes, and his captaines, and rulers of his charets and his horſemen.
23.Theſe were the princes of the officers, that were ouer Salomons worke: euen i fiue hundreth and fiftie, and they ruled ye people that wroght in the worke.
24.¶ And Pharaohs daughter came vp frõ the citie of Dauid vnto the houſe which Salomón had buylt for her: thẽ did he buylde Milló.
25.And thriſe a yere did Salomón offer burnt offrings and peace offrings vpon the altar which he buylt vnto the Lord: & he burnt incenſe vpon the altar, that was before the Lord, when he had finiſhed the houſe.
26.¶ Alſo King Salomón made a nauie of ſhippes in Ezeon-géber, which is beſide Elóth, and the brincke of the red Sea, in the land of Edóm.
27.And Hirám ſent with the nauie his ſeruants, yt were mariners, & had knowledge of the ſea, with the ſeruants of Salomón.
