1 The quene of Sabá commeth to heare the wiſdome of Salomón 18 His royal throne 23 His power and magnificence.
2.And ſhe came to Ieruſalém with a very great traine, & camels that bare ſwete odors, and golde exceding muche, & precious ſtones: and ſhe came to Salomón, and communed with him of all that was in her heart.
3.And Salomón declared vnto her all her queſtions: nothing was hid frõ the King, which he expounded not vnto her.
4.Then the quene of Shebá ſawe all Salomons wiſdom, and the houſe that he had buylt.
6.And ſhe ſaid vnto the King, It was a true worde that I heard in mine owne land of thy ſayings, and of thy wiſdome.
7.Howbeit I beleued not this reporte, til I came, and had ſene it with mine eyes: but lo, the one halfe was not tolde me: for thou haſt more wiſdome and proſperitie, thẽ I haue heard by reporte.
10.And ſhe gaue the King ſix ſcore talents of golde, and of ſwete odors exceding muche, and precious ſtones. There came no more ſuche abũdance of ſwete odors, as the quene of Shebá gaue to King Salomón.
12.And the King made of the Almuggím trees pillers for the houſe of the Lord, & for the Kings palace, and made harpes & pſalteries for ſingers. There came no more ſuche Almuggím trees, nor were anie more ſene vnto this day.
16.And King Salomón made two hundreth targats of beaten golde, ſix hundreth ſhekels of golde went to a targat:
18.¶ Then the King made a great throne of yuorie, and couered it with the beſt golde.
20.And there ſtode twelue lions on the ſix ſteps on ether ſide: there was not the like made in any kingdome.
21.And all King Salomons drinking veſſels were of golde, and all the veſſels of the houſe of the wood of Lebanón were of pure golde. none were of ſiluer: for it was nothing eſtemed in the daies of Salomón.
23.So King Salomón exceded all ye Kings of the earth bothe in riches and in wiſdome.
24.And all the worlde ſoght to ſe Salomón, to heare his wiſdome, which God had put in his heart,
25.And thei broght euery man his preſent, veſſels of ſiluer, and veſſels of golde , and raiment , and armour, and ſwete odors, horſes and mules, from yere to yere.
