4 9. Rahél and Leáh being bothe baren giue their maides vnto their housband, and they beare him children. 15 Leáh giueth mãdrakes to Rahél that Iaakob might lie with her 27 Labán is enriched for Iaakobs sake 43 Iaakób is made very riche.
1.ANd when Rahél ſawe that ſhe bare Iaakób no children, Rahél enuied her ſiſter, and ſaid vnto Iaakób, Giue me children, or els I dye.
4.Then ſhe gaue him Bilháh her maide to wife, and Iaakób went in to her.
5.So Bilháh conceiued and bare Iaakób a ſonne.
6.Thẽ ſaid Rahél, God hathe giuen ſentẽce on my ſide, & hathe alſo heard my voyce, and hathe giuen me a ſonne: therfore called ſhe his name, Dan.
7.And Bilháh Rahels maide conceiued againe, and bare Iaakób the ſeconde ſonne.
9.And when Leáh ſawe that ſhe had left bearing, ſhe toke Zilpáh her maide, and gaue her Iaakób to wife.
10.And Zilpáh Leahs maide bare Iaakób a ſonne.
12.Againe Zilpáh Leahs maide bare Iaakób another ſonne.
13.Then ſaid Leáh, Ah, bleſſed am I, for the daughters wil bleſſe me. and ſhe called his name, Aſhér.
15.But ſhe anſwered her, Is it a ſmale matter for thee to take mine houſbãd, except thou take my ſonnes mãdrakes alſo? Thẽ ſaid Rahél, Therefore he ſhal ſlepe with thee this night for thy ſonnes mandrakes.
17.And God heard Leáh and ſhe cõceiued, and bare vnto Iaakób the fift ſonne.
19.After, Leáh conceiued againe, and bare Iaakób the fixt ſonne.
20.The Leáh ſaid, God hathe endued me ŵ a good dowrie: now wil mine houſbād dwel with me, becauſe I haue borne him fix ſones: & ſhe called his name Zebulún.
21.After that, ſhe bare a daughter, and ſhe called her name Dináh.
24.And ſhe called his name Ioſeph, ſaying, The Lord wil giue me yet another ſonne.
25.¶And aſſone as Rahél had borne Ioſeph, Iaakób ſaid to Labán, Sēd me away that I may go vnto my place and to my countrey.
26.Giue me my wiues and my children, for whome I haue ſerued thee, and let me go: for thou knoweſt what ſeruice I haue done thee.
28.Alſo he ſaid, Appoint vnto me thy wages, and I wil giue it thee.
31.Then he ſaid, What ſhal I giue thee? And Iaakób anſwered, Thou ſhalt giue me nothing at all: if thou wilt do this thing for me, I wil returne, fede, and kepe thy ſhepe.
34.Then Labán ſaid, Go to, wolde God it might be according to thy ſaying.
36.And he ſet thre dares iourney betwene him ſelfe and Iaakób. & Iaakób kept the reſt of Labans ſhepe.
38.Then he put ye roddes, which he had pilled, in the gutters and watering troghes, when the ſhepe came to drinke, before ye ſhepe: (for thei were in heate, when thei came to drinke)
40.And Iaakób parted theſe lambes, and turned the faces of the flocke towards theſe lambes party coloured and all maner of blacke, among the ſhepe of Labán: ſo he put his owne flockes by them ſelues, & put them not with Labans flocke.
42.But when the ſhepe were feble, he put them not in: and ſo ye febler were Labans, and the ſtronger Iaakobs.
43.So the man encreaſed excedingly, and had manie flockes, and maide ſeruants, and men ſeruants, and camels and aſſes.
