Genesis 13

Abrám departeth out of Egypt. 11 Lot departeth from him. 13 The wickednes of the Sodomites. 14 The promes made to Abrám is renued. 18 Abram buyldeth an altar to the Lord.
.THen a Abrám went vp from Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, & Lot with him towarde the South.
.And Abrám was very riche in cattel, in ſiluer and in golde.
.And he wẽt on his iourney frõ the South toward b Beth-él, to the place where his tent had bene at the beginning, betwene Beth-él and Haái,
.Vnto yͤ place of the * altar, which he had made there at the firſt: and there Abrám called on the Name of the Lord.
.¶ Lot alſo, who wẽt with Abrám, had ſhepe cattel and tentes,
.So that the land colde not c * beare them, that they might dwel together : for their ſubſtance was great, ſo that they colde not dwel together.
.Alſo there was debate betwene the herdmen of Abrams cattel, & the herdmen of Lots cattel. (and the d Canaanites & the Perizzites dwelled at that time in yͤ lãd)
.Then ſaid Ab:ám vnto Lot, Let there be no e ſtrife, I pray thee, betwene thee & me, nether betwene mine herdmen and thine herdmen: for we be brethren.
.Is not the whole lãd before thee? departe I pray thee frõ me: if thou wilt f take yͤ left hand, then I wil go to the right: or if thou go to the right hand, then I wil take the left.
.So when Lot lifted vp his eies, he ſawe yͤ all the plaine of Iordén was watered euerie where: (for before the Lord deſtroyed Sodóm and Gomoráh, it was as the g garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou goeſt vnto Zóar)
.Then Lot choſe vnto him all yͤ plaine of Iordén and toke his iourney frõ the Eaſt: & they departed the h one from yͤ other.
.Abrám dwelled in the land of Canáan, and Lot abode in the cities of the plaine, and pitched his tent euen to Sodóm.
.Now the men of Sodóm were wicked & exceading i ſinners againſt the Lord.
.¶ Thé yͤ Lord ſaid vnto k Abrám, (after that Lot was departed from him) Lift vp thine eies now , and loke from the place, where yͧ art, Northward, and Southward, and Eaſtward, and Weſtward:
.For all * the land, which thou ſeeſt, wil I giue vnto thee and to thy ſede for l euer,
.And I wil make thy ſede, as the duſt of yͤ earth: ſo that if a man can nomber yͤ duſt of the earth, then ſhal thy ſede be nõbred.
.Ariſe, walke through the land , in the length thereof, and bredth thereof: for I wil giue it vnto thee.
.Then Abrám remoued his tent, and came and dwelled in the plaine of Mamré, which is in Hebrón, & buylded there an altar vnto the Lord.
