Deuteronomy 33

1 Moſes before his death bleſſeth all the tribes of Iſraél. 26 There is no God like to the God of Iſraél, 29 Nor anie people like vnto his.
1.NOw this is the a bleſſing wherewith Moſés the man of God bleſſed the childré of Iſraél before his death,& ſaid,
2.The Lord came from Sinái, and roſe vp from Seír vnto them, and appeared clea-rely from mount Parán, and he came with ten b thouſands of Saintes, and at his right hand a firy Lawe for them.
3.Thogh he loue the people, yet c all thy Saintes are in thine hands:& they are humbled at d thy fete, to receiue thy wordes.
4.Moſés commáded vs a Lawe for an e in-heritáce of the Cógregacion of Iaakób.
5.Thé " he was among the " righteous people, as King, when the heades of the people, and the tribes of Iſraél were aſſembled.
6.f Let Reubén liue,and not dye,thogh his men be a ſmall nomber.
7.¶ And thus he bleſſed Iudáh,& ſaid, Heare, ô Lord, the voice of Iudáh, & bring him vnto his people: his hands ſhalbe g ſuffi-cient for him, if thou helpe him againſt his enemies.
8.¶ And of Leuí he ſaid, Let thy * Thúmím & thine Vrím be ŵ thine holy one,whome thou dideſt proue in Maſſáh, and dideſt cauſe him to ſtriue at ŷ waters of Meribáh.
9.Who ſaid vnto his father and to his mo-ther, h I haue not ſene him, nether kne-we he his brethren, nor knewe his owne children: for they obſerued thy worde, & kept thy ceuenant.
10.Thei ſhal teache Iaakób thy iudgeméts, and Iſraél thy Lawe: they ſhal put incens before thy face,& the burnt offring vpon thine altar.
11.Bleſſe, ô Lord, his ſubſtance, and accept the worke of his hands: i ſmite through the loines of thé that riſe againſt him, and of them that hate him, that they riſe not againe.
12.¶ Of Beniamín he ſaid, The beloued of the Lord ſhal k dwel in ſafety by him: the Lord ſhal couer him all the day long,and dwel betwene his ſhulders.
13.¶ And of Ioſeph he ſaid, Bleſſed of the Lord is his land for the ſwetenes of heaué, for the dewe,and " for the depth lying be-neth,
14.And for the ſwete increaſe of the funne, and for the ſwete increaſe of the moone,
15.And for the ſwetenes of the top of the an-cient mountaines,and for the ſwetenes of the olde hilles,
16.And for the ſwetenes of the earth,& abũ-dance thereof: & the good wil of him that dwelt in the l buſhe,ſhal come vpon the head of Ioſeph, and vpon the top of the head of him that was * ſeparated from his brethren.
17.His beautie ſhalbe like his firſt borne bul-locke, and " his hornes as the hornes of an vnicorne : with them he ſhal ſmite the people together, euen the ends of the worlde: theſe are alſo the ten thouſands of Ephráim, and theſe are the thouſands of Manaſſéh.
18.¶ And of Zebulún he ſaid, Reioyce, Ze-bulún,in thy m going out,and thou,Iſſa-chár,in thy tentes.
19.They ſhal call the people vnto the " mo-untaine:there they ſhal offer the ſacrifices of righteouſnes: for n they ſhal ſucke of the abundance of the ſea, and of the trea-ſures hid in the ſand.
20.¶ Alſo of Gad he ſaid, Bleſſed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion,that catcheth for his pray yͤ arme wͤ the head.
21.And he loked to him ſelfe at the begin-ning,becauſe there was a porcion of the o Lawegiuer hid : yet he ſhal come with the heads of the people,to execute the iu-ſtice of the Lord,& his iudgements with Iſraél.
22.¶ And of Dan he ſaid, Dan is a lions whelpe:he ſhal leape from Baſhán.
23.¶ Alſo of Naphtalí he ſaid,ô Naphtalí, ſatiſfied with fauour, and filled with the bleſſing of the Lord,poſſeſſe p the Weſt and the South.
24.¶ And of Aſhér he ſaid, Aſhér ſhalbe bleſ-ſed with children : he ſhalbe acceptable vnto his brethren,and ſhal dip his fote in oyle.
25.Thy ſhooes ſhalbe q yron and braſſe, and thy ſtrength ſhal continue as long as thou liueſt.
26.¶ There is none like God,ô righteous people,which rideth vpon the heauens for thine helpe,& on yͤ cloudes in his glorie.
27.The eternal God is thy refuge,and vnder his armes thou arte for euer: he ſhal caſt out the enemie before thee, and wil ſay, Deſtroy them.
28.Thé Iſraél r the foúteine of Iaakób ſhal dwel alone in ſafety in a land of wheat & wine: alſo his heaués ſhal drop the dewe.
29.Bleſſed art thou,ô Iſraél:who is like vnto thee,ô people ſaued by the Lord,yͤ ſhylde of thine helpe, & which is yͤ ſworde of thy glorie? therefore s thine enemies ſhalbe in ſubiection to thee, & thou ſhalt tread vpõ their hie places.
