Deuteronomy 27

2 They are cōmanded to write the Law vpon stones for a remembrāce, 5 Also to buylde an altar. 13 The cursings are giuen on mount Ebál
1.THen Moſés with the Elders of Iſraél commanded the people, ſaying, Kepe all the commandements, which a I commande you this day.
2.And when ye shal paſſe ouer Iordén vnto the land which the Lord thy God giueth thee, thou shalt ſet thee vp great ſtones, & plaiſter them with plaiſter,
3.And shalt write vpon thë b all the wordes of this Lawe, when thou shalt come ouer, that thou maieſt go into the land wc the Lord thy God giueth thee: a lād that floweth with mylke and hony, as the Lord God of thy fathers hathe promiſed thee.
4.Therefore when ye shal paſſe ouer Iordén, ye shal ſet vp theſe stones, which I cōmande you this day in moūt Ebál, & thou shalt plaiſter them with plaiſter.
5.* And there shalt thou buyld vnto ye Lord thy God an altar, euen an altar of ſtones: yu shalt lift none c yron inſtrument vpon thë.
6.Thou shalt make the altar of ye Lord thy God of whole ſtones, and offer burnt offrings thereon vnto the Lord thy God.
7.And thou shalt offer peace offrings, and shalt eat there and reioyce before ye Lord thy God:
8.And thou shalt write vpon the stones all the wordes of this Lawe, d wel, and plainly.
9.¶ And Moſés & the Prieſts of the Leuites ſpake vnto all Ifraél, ſaying, Take hede & hearkē, ô Iſraél: this day thou art become the people of the Lord thy God.
10.Thou e shalt hearken therefore vnto the voyce of the Lord thy God, and do his cōmandements and his ordinances, which I commande thee this day.
11.¶ And Moſés charged the people the ſame day, ſaying,
12.Theſe shal ſtand vpon moūt Gerizzím, to bleſſe the people when ye shal paſſe ouer Iordén: Simeón, & Leuí, & Iudáh, & Iſſachár, & f Ioſéph, & Beniamín.
13.And theſe shal ſtand vpon mount Ebál to g curse: Reubén, Gád, & Aſher, & Zebulún, Dan, & Naphtalí.
14.And the Leuites shal anſwer & ſay vnto all the men of Iſraél with a loude voyce,
15.¶ Curſed be ye mā yt shal make anie carued or moltë h image, an abominacion vnto ye Lord, the worke of ye hāds of ye craftesmā, & putteth it in a ſecret place: And all the people shal anſwer, & ſay: So be it.
16.Curſed be he that " curſeth his father & his mother: And all the people shal ſay: So be it.
17.Curſed be he that remoueth his neighbours k marke: And all the people ſhal ſay: So be it.
18.Curſed be he that maketh the l blinde go out of the way: And all the people ſhal ſay: So be it.
19.Curſed be he that hindreth the right of the ſtranger, the fatherles, & the widowe: And all the people ſhal ſay: So be it.
20.Curſed be he that lieth with his fathers wife: for he hathe vncouered his fathers m skirt: And all ye people ſhal ſay: So be it.
21.Curſed be he that lieth with anie beaſt: And all the people ſhal ſay: So be it.
22.Curſed be he that lieth with his ſiſter, the daughter of his father, or the daugh-ter of his mother: And all the people ſhal ſay: So be it.
23.Curſed be he that lieth with his n mother in lawe: And all the people ſhal ſay: So be it.
24.Curſed be he that ſmiteth his neighbour o ſecretly: And all the people ſhal ſay: So be it.
25.* Curſed be he that taketh a rewarde to put to death innocent blood: And all the people ſhal ſay: So be it.
26.* Curſed be he that confirmeth not all ye wordes of this Lawe, to do them: And all the people ſhal ſay: So be it.
