Deuteronomy 23

1 What men might not be admitted to office. 9 What they oght to auoide when they go to warre. 15 Of the fugitiue seruant. 17 To flee all kinde of whoredome. 19 Of vsurie. 21 Of vowes. 24 Of the neighbours Vine and corne.
1.a None that is hurt by burſting, or that hathe his priuie mēbre cut of, ſhal not entre into the Congregacion of the Lord.
2.b A baſtard ſhal not entre into the Congregacion of the Lord : euen to his tenth generacion ſhal he not entre into the Cōgregacion of the Lord.
3.* The Ammonites and the Moabites ſhal not entre into the Congregacion of the Lord: euen to their tenth generacion ſhal they not entre into the Congregacion of the Lord for euer,
4.Becauſe they c met you not with bread and water in the way, when ye came out of Egypt, and becauſe they hired againſt thee Balaám the ſonne of Beór, of Pethór in Aram-naharáim, to curſe thee.
5.Neuertheles, the Lord thy God wolde not hearken vnto Balaám, but the Lord thy God turned the curſe to a bleſſing vnto thee, becauſe the Lord thy God loued thee.
6.Thou d ſhalt not ſeke their peace nor their proſperitie all thy daies for euer.
7.¶ Thou ſhalt not abhorre an Edomite: for he is thy brother, nether ſhalt thou abhorre an Egyptian, becauſe thou waſt a ſtranger in his land.
8.The children that are begotten e of thē in their third generacion, ſhal entre into the Congregacion of the Lord.
9.¶ When thou goeſt out with the hoſte againſt thine enemies, kepe thee then from all wickednes.
10.¶ If there be among you anie that is vncleane by that which commeth to him by night, he ſhal go out of the hoſte, and ſhal not entre into the hoſte,
11.But at euen he ſhal waſh him ſelfe with water, and when the ſunne is downe, he ſhal entre into the hoſte.
12.¶ Thou ſhalt haue a place alſo without the hoſte whether thou ſhalt f reſorte,
13.And thou ſhalt haue a paddle among thy weapōs, and when thou woldeſt ſit downe without, thou ſhalt dig therewith, and returning thou ſhalt g couer thine excrements.
14.For the Lord thy God walketh in the middes of thy campe to deliuer thee, and to giue thee thine enemies before thee: therefore thine hoſte ſhalbe holy, that he ſe no filthy thing in thee and turne away from thee.
15.¶ Thou ſhalt not h deliuer the ſeruant vnto his maſter, which is eſcaped from his maſter
16.He ſhal dwel with thee, * euen * amõg you, in what place he ſhal choſe, in one of thy " cities where it liketh him beſt: thou ſhalt not vexe him.
17.¶ There ſhalbe no whore of the daugh- ters of Iſraél, nether ſhal there be a who- rekeper of the ſonnes of Iſraél.
18.Thou ſhalt nether bring the i hire of a whore, nor y price of a dog into the houſe of the Lord thy God for anie vowe: for euen bothe theſe * are * abominacion vnto the Lord thy God.
19.* Thou ſhalt not giue to vſurie to thy brother: * as * vſurie of money, vſurie of meat, vſurie of anie thing that is put to vſurie.
20.Vnto a k ſtranger thou maieſt lend vpõ vſurie, but thou ſhalt not lend vpon vſu- rie vnto thy brother, that the Lord thy God may l bleſſe thee in all that thou ſet- teſt thine hand to, in the lãd whether thou goeſt to poſſeſſe it.
21.¶ When thou ſhalt vowe a vow vnto y Lord thy God, thou ſhalt not be ſlacke to pay it: for the Lord thy God wil ſurely require it of thee, and ſo it ſhulde be ſinne vnto thee.
22.But when thou abſteineſt from vowing, it ſhalbe no ſinne vnto thee.
23.That which is gone out of thy lippes, thou ſhalt m kepe and performe, as thou haſt vowed it willingly vnto the Lord thy God: for thou haſt ſpokẽ it with thy mouth.
24.¶ When thou cõmeſt vnto n thy neigh- bours vineyard, then thou maieſt eat gra- pes at thy pleaſure, as muche as thou wilt: but thou ſhalt put none in thy o veſſel.
25.Whẽ thou cõmeſt into thy neighbours corne * thou maieſt plucke the eares with thine hand, but thou ſhalt not moue a ſic- kle to thy neighbours corne.
