3 The coaſtes and borders of the land of Canáan. 17 Certeine men are aßigned to deuide the land.
1.ANd the Lord ſpake vnto Moſés, ſaying,
2.Commande the children of Iſraél, and ſay vnto them, When ye come into the land of Canáan, this is the a land that ſhal fall vnto your inheritance: that is, the land of Canáan with the coaſtes thereof.
3.* And your Southquarter ſhalbe from the wildernes of Zin, to the borders of Edóm: ſo that your Southquarter ſhalbe from the ſalt Sea coaſt Eaſtward:
4.And the border ſhal compaſſe you from the Southe to Maaleh-akrabbím, and reache to Zin, & go out from the Southe to Kadeſh-barnéa : thence it ſhal ſtretch to Hazar-addár, and go along to Azmón.
5.And the border ſhal compaſſe from Azmón vnto the b riuer of Egypt, and ſhal go out to the ſea.
6.And your Weſtquarter ſhal be the great c ſea: euen that border ſhalbe your Weſtcoaſt.
7.And this ſhal be your Northquarter: ye ſhal marke out your border fró the great ſea vnto mount d Hor.
8.From mount Hor ye ſhal point out til it come vnto Hamáth, and the end of the coaſt ſhalbe at Zedád.
9.And yͤ coaſt ſhal reache out to Ziphrón, & go out at Hazar-enán. this ſhalbe your Northquarter.
10.And ye ſhal marke out your Eaſtquarter from Hazar-enán to Shephám.
11.And the coaſt ſhal go downe from Shephám to Ribláh, and from the Eaſtſide of Ain: and the fame border ſhal deſcend & go out at the ſide of the Sea of e Chinneréth Eaſtwarde.
12.Alſo that border ſhal go downe to Iordén, and leaue at the ſalt Sea. this ſhalbe your land with the coaſtes thereof round about.
13.¶ Then Moſés commanded the children of Iſraél, ſaying, This is the land which ye ſhal inherit by lot, which yͤ Lord commanded to giue vnto nine tribes and halfe the tribe.
14.* For the tribe of the children of Reubén, according to the houſholdes of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad, according to their fathers houſholdes, and halfe the tribe of Manaſſéh, haue receiued their inheritance.
15.Two tribes and an halfe tribe haue receiued their inheritaīce on this ſide of Iordén toward Ierichó ful Eaſt.
16.¶ Againe the Lord ſpake to Moſés, ſaying,
17.Theſe are the names of the men which ſhal deuide the lād vnto you: Eleazár the Prieſt, and Ioſhúa the ſonne of Nun.
18.And ye ſhal take alſo a f prince of euerie tribe to deuide the land.
19.The names alſo of the men are theſe: Of the tribe of Iudáh, Caléb the ſonne of Iephunnéh.
20.And of the tribe of the ſonnes of Simeón, Shemuél the ſonne of Ammihúd.
21.Of the tribe of Beniamín, Elidád the ſonne
22.Also of the tribe of the ſonnes of Dan, the prince Bukki, the ſonne of Iogli.
23.Of the ſonnes of Ioſeph: of the tribe of the ſonnes of Manaſſeh, the prince Hanniél the ſonne of Ephod.
24.And of the tribe of ye ſonnes of Ephráim, the prince Kemuél, ye ſonne of Shiphtán.
25.Of the tribe alſo of ye ſonnes of Zebulún, the prince Elizaphán, ye ſonne of Parnách.
26.So of the tribe of ye ſonnes of Iſſachár, the prince Paltiél the ſonne of Azzán.
27.Of the tribe alſo of ye ſonnes of Aſhér, the prince Ahihúd the ſonne of Shelomí.
28.And of the tribe of the ſonnes of Naphtali, the prince Pedahél, the ſonne of Ammihúd.
29.Theſe g are they, whome the Lord commanded to deuide the inheritance vnto the children of Iſraél, in the land of Canáan.
