Numbers 30

3 Concerning vowes. 4 The Vowe of the maid. 7 Of the wife. 10 Of the widow, or deuorced.
1.THen Moſes ſpake vnto the childrẽ of Iſraél, according to all that the Lord had commanded him,
2.Moſes alſo ſpake vnto the heades of the tribes concerning the children of Iſraél, ſaying, This is the thing which the Lord hathe commanded,
3.Whoſoeue: voweth a vow vnto yͤ Lord, or ſweareth an othe to bide him ſelfe by a bonde, he ſhal not breake his promes, but ſhal do accordīg to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.
4.If a woman alſo vowe a vowe vnto the Lord, & bide her ſelfe by a bõde, being in her fathers houſe, in yͤ time of her youth,
5.And her father heare her vowe & bõde, wherewith ſhe hathe bounde her ſelfe, and her father holde his peace concerning her, then all her vowes ſhal ſtand & euerie bonde, wherewith ſhe hathe bounde her ſelfe, ſhal ſtand.
6.But if her father diſalow her the ſame daye that he heareth all her vowes & bondes, wherewith ſhe hathe boũde her ſelfe, they ſhal not be of value, and the Lord wil forgiue her, becauſe her father diſalowed her.
7.And if ſhe haue an houſbād whē ſhe voweth or pronounceth oght with her lippes, whēwith ſhe bindeth her ſelfe,
8.If her houſband heard it and holdeth his peace cōcerning her, the ſame day he heareth it, then her vowe ſhal ſtand, and her bondes wherewith ſhe bindeth her ſelfe ſhal ſtand in effect.
9.But if her houſband diſalowe her the fame day that he heard them, then ſhal he make her vowe which ſhe hathe made, & that that ſhe hathe pronoūced with her lippes, wherewith ſhe bonde her ſelfe, of none effect, and the Lord wil forgiue her.
10.But euerie vowe of a widowe, and of her that is deuorced (wherewith ſhe hathe bōde her ſelte) ſhal ſtand in effect with her.
11.And if ſhe vowed in her houſbandes houſe, or bōde her ſelfe ſtrictly with an othe,
12.And her houſband hathe heard it, & helde his peace concerning her, not diſalowing her, then all her vowes ſhal ſtand, & euerie bonde, wherewith ſhe boūd her ſelfe, ſhal ſtand in effect.
13.But if her houſband diſanulled them, the ſame day that he heard them, nothing that proceaded out of her lippes concerning her vowes or concerning her bōdes, ſhal ſtand in effect: for her houſband hathe diſanulled them, and the Lord wil forgiue her.
14.So euerie vowe, and euerie othe or bonde, made to humble the ſoule, her houſband may ſtabliſh it, or her houſband may breake it.
15.But if her houſband holde his peace cōceining her frō day to day, thē he ſtabliſheth all her vowes and all her bondes which ſhe hathe made: he hathe cōfirmed them becauſe he held his peace concerning her the ſame day that he heard them.
16.But if he breake them after that he hathe heard them, then ſhal he beare her iniquitie.
17.Theſe are the ordināces which the Lord commanded Moſés, betwene a man & his wife, & betwene the father and his daughter, being yong in her fathers houſe.
