2 The Lord cōmandeth to nomber the children of Iſraél in the plaine of Moáb from twēty yere olde & aboue. 57 The Leuites and their families 64 None of them, that were nombred in Sinai, go in to Canaan ſaue Caléb, and Ioſhua.

1.ANd ſo after the ^a plague, the Lord ſpake vnto Moſés, & to Eleazar the ſonne of Aarón the Prieſt, ſaying,

2.Take the number of all the Congregacion of the children of Iſraél ^* from twēty yere olde and aboue through out their fathers houſes, all that go forthe to warre in Iſraél.

3.So Moſés & Eleazár the Prieſt ſpake vnto them in the plaine of Moáb, by Iordén ^b towarde Ierichó, ſaying,

4.From twenty yere olde and aboue yͤ ſhal nomber the people, as the ^* Lord had cōmanded Moſés, and the children of Iſraél, whē they came out of the land of Egypt.

5.¶ ^* Reubén yͤ firſt borne of Iſraél: yͤ childrē of ^|| Reubén were: Hanóch, of whome came the familie of the Hanochites, and of Pallú the familie of the Palluites:

6.Of Hefrón, the familie of the Hefronites: of Carmí, the familie of yͤ Carmites.

7.Theſe are yͤ families of the Reubenites: and they were in nomber thre & fourtie thouſand, ſeuen hundreth and thirty.

8.And the ſonnes of Pallú, Eliáb:

9.And the ſonnes of Eliáb, Nemuél, & Dathán, and Abirám: this Dathán and Abirám were famous in the Congregacion, an ^c ſtroue againſt Moſés and againſt Aarón in the aſſemblie of Kórah, whē they ſtroue againſt the Lord.

10.And the earth opened her mouth, and ſwalowed them vp with Kórah, when the Congregacion dyed, what time the fire conſumed two hundreth and fifty men, who were ^d for a ſigne:

11.Notwithſtanding, all the ſonnes of Kórah dyed not.

12.¶And the childrē of ^|| Simeón after their families were: Nemuél, of whome came yͤ familie of the Nemuelites: of Iamín, the familie of the Iaminites: of Iachín, the familie of the Iachinites:

13.Of Zérah, the familie of the Zarhites: of Shaúl, the familie of the Shaulites.

14.Theſe are the families of the Simeonites: two and twenty thouſand and two hundreth.

15.¶The ſonnes of ^|| Gad after their families wer: Zephón, of whome came yͤ familie of the Zephonites: of Haggí, the familie of the Haggites: of Shuni, the familie of the Shunites:

16.Of Ozni, the familie of the Oznites: of Erí, the familie of the Erites:

17.Of Aród, the familie of the Arodites: of Arelí, the familie of the Arelites.

18.Theſe are the families of the ſonnes of Gad, according to their nombers, fourty thouſand and fiue hundreth.

19.¶The ſōnes of ^|| Iudáh, Er & Onán: but Er and Onan dyed in the land of ^e Canáan.

20.So were the ſonnes of Iudáh after their families: of Sheláh came the familie of the Shelanites: of Phárez, yͤ familie of: yͤ Pharzites, of Zérah, the familie of yͤ Zarhites.

21.And the ſonnes of ^* Pharéz were: of Hefrón, the familie of yͤ Hefronites: of Hamúl, the familie of the Hamulites.

22.Theſe are the families of Iudáh, after their nombers, ſeuēty ad ſix thouſand and fiue hundreth.

23.¶The ſonnes of ^|| Iſſachár, after their families were: Tolá, of whome came the familie of the Tolaites: of Puá, the familie of the Punites:

24.Of Iaſhúb yͤ familie of yͤ Iaſhubites: of Shimrón the familie of the Shimronites.

25.Theſe are the families of Iſſachár, after their nombers, thre ſcore and foure thouſand and thre hundreth.

26.¶The ſonnes of ^|| Zebulún, after their families were: of Séred, the familie of yͤ Sardites: of Elón, the familie of the Elonites: of Iahleél, the familie of the Iahleelites.

27.Theſe are the families of the Zebulunites, afrer their nōbers, thre ſcore thouſand and fiue hundreth.

28.¶The ſonnes of Ioſéph, after their families were ^|| Manaſſéh and Ephráim.

29.The ſonnes of Manaſſéh were of ^* Machir, yͤ familie of yͤ Machirites: & Machír begate Gileád: of Gileád came yͤ familie of the Giliadites.

30.Theſe are the ſonnes of Giliád: of Iezér, the familie of the Iezerites: of Hélek, the familie of the Helekites:

31.Of Aſriél, the familie of the Aſrielites: of Shéché, the familie of the Shichmites.

32.Of Shemidá, the familie of the Shemidaites: of Hépher, the familie of the Hepherites.

33.And ^* Zelophehád y^e ſonne of Hépher had no ſonnes, but daughters: and the names of the daughters of Zelophehád were Mahláh, and Noáh, Hogláh, Milcáh and Tirzáh.

34.Theſe are the families of Manaſſéh, and the number of them, two and fifty thouſand and ſeuen hundreth.

35.¶ Theſe are the ſonnes of Ephráim after their families: of Shutheláh came y^e familie of the Shuthalhites: of Bechér, the familie of the Bachrites: of Táhan, the familie of the Tahanites.

36.And theſe are the ſonnes of Shutheláh: of Erán the familie of the Eranites.

37.Theſe are y^e families of the ſonnes of Ephráim after their nombers, two and thirtie thouſand and fiue hundreth. theſe are the ſonnes of Ioſéph after their families.

38.¶ Theſe are the ſonnes of Beniamín after their families: of Belá came the familie of the Baleites: of Aſhbél, the familie of the Aſhbelites: of Ahirám, the familie of the Ahiramites:

39.Of Shuphám, the familie of the Shuphamites: of Huphám, the familie of the Huphamites.

40.And the ſonnes of Belá were Ard and Naamán: of Ard came the familie of the Ardites, of Naamán, the familie of the Naamites.

41.Theſe are the ſonnes of Beniamín after their families, and their nombers, fiue and fourty thouſand and ſix hundreth.

42.¶ Theſe are y^e ſonnes of Dan after their families: of Shuhám came the familie of the Shuhamites: theſe are the families of Dan after their houſeholdes.

43.All the families of the Shuhamites were after their nombers, thre ſcore and foure thouſand, and foure hundreth.

44.¶ The ſonnes of Aſhér after their families were: of Iimnáh, the familie of the Iimnites: of Iſuí, the familie of the Iſuites: of Beriáh, the familie of the Beriites.

45.The ſonnes of Beriáh were, of Hebér the familie of the Heberites: of Malchiél, the familie of the Malchielites.

46.And the name of the daughter of Aſhér was Sárah.

47.Theſe are the families of the ſonnes of Aſhér after their nombers, thre and fifty thouſand and foure hundreth.

48.¶ The ſonnes of Naphtalí, after their families were of Iahzeél, the families of the Iahzeelites: of Guní, the familie of the Gunites.

49.Of Iézer, the familie of the Izrites: of Shillém, the familie of the Shillemites.

50.Theſe are the families of Naphtalí according to their houſholdes, & their nomber, fiue & fourty thouſand & foure hundreth.

51.Theſe are the ^f nombers of the children of Iſraél: ſix hundreth, and one thouſand, ſeuen hnndreth and thirty.

52.¶ And y^e Lord ſpake vnto Moſés, ſaying,

53.Vnto theſe the land ſhal be deuided for an inheritance, according to y^e nomber of ^" names.

54.^* To manie thou ſhalt giue the more inheritance, and to fewe thou ſhalt giue leſſe inheritance: to euerie one according to his nomber ſhalbe giuen his inheritance.

55.Notwithſtanding, the land ſhal be ^* deuided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers thei ſhal inherit:

56.According to the lot ſhal the poſſeſſion thereof be deuided betwene manie & fewe.

57.¶ ^* Theſe alſo are the nombers of the Leuites, after their families: of Gerſhón came the familie of the Gerſhonites: of Koháth the familie of the Kohathites: of Merarí the familie of the Merarites.

58.Theſe are the families of Leuí, the familie of the Libnites: the familie of y^e Hebronites: the familie of the Mahlites: the familie of the Muſhites: the familie of the Korhites: and Koháth begate Amram.

59.And Amrams wife was called ^* Iochébed the daughter of Leuí, w^c was borne vnto Leuí in Egypt: and ſhe bare vnto Amrám Aarón, & Moſés, and Miriám their ſiſter.

60.And vnto Aarón were borne Nadab, & Abihú, Eleazár, and Ithamár.

61.^* And Nadáb and Abihú dyed becauſe they offred ſtrange fire before the Lord.

62.And their nombers were thre & twenty thouſand, all males from a moneth olde and aboue: for they were not nombred among the children of Iſraél, becauſe there was none inheritance giuen them among the children of Iſraél.

63.¶ Theſe are the nombers of Moſés and Eleazár the Prieſt which nombred the children of Iſraél in the plaine of Moáb, nere Iordén, toward Ierichó.

64.And among theſe there was not a man of them, ^g whome Moſés and Aarón the Prieſt nombred, when they tolde the children of Iſraél in the wildernes of Sinái.

65.For the Lord ſaid of them, ^* They ſhal dye in the wildernes: ſo there was not left a man of them, ſaue Caléb the ſonne of Iephunnéh, & Ioſhúa the ſonne of Nun.
