1 The diſpoſicion and order of the buylding of the Temple and the other things thereunto belonging.
1.Afterwarde, he broght me to the Tẽple, and meaſured the poſtes, ſix cubites broad on the one ſide and ſix cubites broad on the other ſide, which was the breadth of the tabernacle.
2.And the breadth of the entrie was ten cubites, & the ſides of the entrie were fiue cubites on ye one ſide, & fiue cubits on ye other ſide, & he meaſured the lẽgth thereof fortie cubites, & the breadth twentie cubites.
3.Thẽ went he in, and meaſured the poſtes of the entrie two cubites, and the entrie ſix cubites, and the breadth of the entrie ſeuen cubites.
4.So he meaſured the length thereof twentie cubites & the breadth twentie cubites before the Temple. And he ſaid vnto me, This is the moſte holie place.
5.After, he meaſured the wall of the houſe, ſix cubites, and the breadth of euerie chambre foure cubites rounde about the houſe, on euerie ſide.
6.And the chambres were chambre vpon chãbre, thre and thirtie fote high, & they entred into the wall made for the chambres which was rounde about the houſe yt the poſtes might be faſtened therein, and not be faſtened in the wall of the houſe.
7.And it was large and went round mounting vpwarde to the chambres: for the ſtaire of the houſe was mounting vpward, rounde about the houſe: therefore ye houſe was larger vpwarde: ſo thei went vp frõ the loweſt chãbre to ye hieſt by the middes.
8.I ſawe alſo the houſe hie rounde about: ye fundacions of the chambres were a ful rede of ſix great cubites.
9.The thickenes of the wall which was for the chamber without, was fiue cubites, and that which remained, was the place of the chambres that were within.
10.And betwene the chambres was the wydenes of twentie cubites rounde about the Houſe on euerie ſide.
11.And the dores of the chãbres were towarde the place that remained, one dore towarde the North, & another dore towarde the South, and the breadth of the place that remained, was fiue cubites rounde about.
12.Now the buylding that was before the ſeparate place towarde the Weſt corner, was ſeuentie cubites broad, and the wall of the buylding was fiue cubites thicke, rounde about, & the lẽgth ninetie cubites.
13.So he meaſured the houſe an hundreth cubites long, & the ſeparate place and the buylding with the walles thereof were an hundreth cubites long.
14.Alſo the breadth of the forefront of the houſe and of the ſeparate place toward the Eaſt, was an hundreth cubites.
15.And he meaſured the length of the buylding ouer againſt ye ſeparate place, which was behinde it, and the chambers on the one ſide and on the other ſide an hundreth cubites with the Temple within, and the arches of the court.
16.The poſtes and the narowe windowes, & the chambers rounde about, on thre ſides ouer againſt the poſtes, filed with ceder wood roũde about and frõ ye ground vp to ye windowes, and the windowes were filed.
17.And from aboue the dore vnto the inner houſe and without, and by all the wall rounde about within and without it was fyled according to the meaſure.
18.And it was made with Cherubims and palme trees, ſo that a palme tree was betwene a Cherúb and a Cherúb: and euerie Cherúb had two faces.
19.So that the face of a man was towarde the palme tree on the one ſide, & the face of a lion towarde the palme tree on the other ſide: thus was it made through all the houſe rounde about.
20.From the grounde vnto aboue the dore were Cherubims and palme trees made as in the wall of the Temple.
21.The poſtes of the Tẽple were ſquared, & thus to loke vnto was the ſimilitude & forme of the Sanctuarie.
22.The altar of wood was thre cubites hie, & the length thereof two cubites, and the corners thereof and the length thereof & the ſides thereof were of wood. And he ſaid vnto me, This is the table that ſhalbe before the Lord.
23.And the Temple & the Sanctuarie had two dores.
24.And the dores had two wickets, euen two turning wickets, two wickets for one dore, and two wickets for another dore.
25.And vpon the dores of the Tẽple there were made Cherubims & palme trees, like as was made vpon the walles, & there were thicke plankes vpon the forefront of the porche without.
26.And there were narowe windowes & palme trees on the one ſide, and on the other ſide, by the ſides of the porche, and vpon ye ſides of the houſe, and thicke plankes.
