Ezekiel 30

The deſtruction of Egypt & the cities thereof.
.THe worde of the Lord came againe vnto me, ſaying,
.Sonne of man, prophecie, and ſay, Thus ſaith the Lord God, Houle & crye, Wo be vnto this day.
.For the day is nere, and the day of ye Lord is at hand, a cloudie day, and it ſhalbe the time of the heathen.
.And the ſworde ſhal come vpon Egypt, and feare ſhalbe in Ethiopia, whẽ the ſlaine ſhal fall in Egypt, when thei ſhal take away her multitude, and when her fundacions ſhalbe broken downe.
.Ethiopia, and Phut, & Lud, and all the commune people, and Cub, and the mẽ of the land, that is in league, ſhal fall with them by the ſworde.
.Thus ſaith ye Lord, Thei alſo that mainteine Egypt, ſhal fall, and the pride of her power ſhal come downe from the towre of Seuenéh ſhal thei fall by ye ſworde, ſaith the Lord God.
.And thei ſhalbe deſolate in the middes of the countreis that are deſolate, and her cities ſhalbe in ye middes of the cities that are waſted.
.And thei ſhal knowe that I am the Lord, when I haue ſet a fyre in Egypt, and when all her helpers ſhalbe deſtroied.
.In that day ſhal their meſſengers go from me in ſhippes, to make the careles Mores afraied, and feare ſhal come vpõ them, as in the day of Egypt: for lo, it cometh.
.Thus ſaith the Lord God, I wil alſo make the multitude of Egypt to ceaſe by the hãd of Nebuchad-nezzár King of Babél.
.For he and his people with him, euen the terrible nacions ſhal be broght to deſtroy the land: and thei ſhal drawe their ſwordes againſt Egypt, & fil the land with ye ſlaine.
.And I wil make the riuers drye, and ſel the land into the hands of the wicked, and I wil make the land waſte, and all that therein is by the hands of ſtrangers: I the Lord haue ſpoken it.
.Thus ſaith the Lord God, I wil alſo deſtroy the idoles, and I wil cauſe their idoles to ceaſe out of Noph, and there ſhalbe no more a prince of the land of Egypt, & I wil ſend a feare in the land of Egypt.
.And I wil make Pathrós deſolate, & wil ſet fyre in Zóan, and I wil execute iudgement in No.
.And I wil powre my wrath vpon Sin, which is the ſtrength of Egypt: and I wil deſtroy the multitude of No.
.And I wil ſet fyre in Egypt: Sin ſhal haue great ſorow, and No ſhalbe deſtroyed, and Noph ſhal haue ſorowes daiely.
.The yong men of Auen, and of Phibéſeth ſhal fall by the ſworde: and theſe cities ſhal go into captiuitie.
.At Tehaphnehes the day ſhal reſtreine his light, when I ſhal breake there the barres of Egypt: and when the pompe of her power ſhal ceaſe in her, the cloude ſhal couer her, & her daughters ſhal go into captiuitie.
.Thus wil I execute iudgements in Egypt, and they ſhal knowe, that I am the Lord.
.¶ And in the eleuenth yere, in the firſt moneth, & in the ſeuenth day of the moneth, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, ſaying,
.Sonne of man, I haue broken the arme of Pharaóh King of Egypt: and lo, it ſhal not be bounde vp to be healed, nether ſhal they put a roole to binde it, and ſo make it ſtrong, to holde the ſworde.
.Therefore thus ſaith the Lord God, Beholde, I come againſt Pharaóh King of Egypt, and wil breake his arme, that was ſtrong, but is broken, and I wil cauſe the ſworde to fall out of his hand.
.And I wil ſcatter the Egyptians among the nacions, and wil diſperſe thē through the countreis.
.And I wil ſtrengthen the arme of the King of Babél, and put my ſworde in his hand, but I wil breake Pharaohs armes, & he ſhal caſt out ſighings as the ſighings of him, that is wounded before him.
.But I wil ſtrengthen the armes of the King of Babél, and the armes of Pharaóh ſhal fall downe, and they ſhal knowe, that I am the Lord, when I ſhal put my ſworde into the hand of the King of Babél, & he ſhal ſtretch it out vpon the land of Egypt.
.And I wil ſcatter the Egyptians among the nacions, and diſperſe them among the countreys, and they ſhal knowe, that I am the Lord.
