3 He threateneth the ſworde, and deſtruction to Ieruſalém. 25 He ſheweth the fall of King Zedekiáh. 28 He is cōmanded to prophecie the deſtruction of the children of Ammon. 30 The Lord threateneth to deſtroye Nebuchad-nezzár.
1.THe worde of the Lord came to me againe, ſaying,
5.That all fleſh may knowe that I the Lord haue drawen my ſworde out of his ſheath, & it ſhal not returne anie more.
8.¶ Againe, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, ſaying,
9.Sonne of man, prophecie, and ſay, Thus faith the Lord God, ſay, A ſworde, a ſworde bothe ſharpe, and fourbiſhed,
15.I haue broght the feare of the ſworde into all their gates to make their heart to faint, and to multiplie their ruines. Ah it is made bright, & it is dreſſed for the ſlaughter.
17.I wil alſo ſmite mine hands together, & wil cauſe my wrath to ceaſe. I the Lord haue ſaid it.
18.¶ The worde of the Lord came vnto me againe, ſaying,
20.Appoint a way, that the ſworde may come to Rabbáth of the Ammonites, and to Iudáh in Ieruſalém the ſtrong citie.
22.At his right hand was the diuination for Ieruſalém to appoint captaines, to open their mouthe in the ſlaughter, and to lift vp their voyce with ſhouting, to lay engines of warre againſt the gates, to caſt a mount, and to buyld a fortres.
24.Therefore thus faith the Lord God, Becauſe ye haue made your iniquitie to be remembred, in diſcouering your rebellion, yt in all your workes your ſinnes might appeare: becauſe, I ſay, that ye are come to remẽbrãce, ye ſhalbe taken with the hand.
28.¶ And thou, ſonne of man, prophecie, and ſay, Thus ſaith the Lord God to the children of Ammón, and to their blaſphemie: ſay thou, I ſay, The ſworde, the ſworde is drawé forthe, & fourbiſhed to the ſlaughter, to conſume, becauſe of the glittering.
30.Shal I cauſe it to returne into his ſheathe? I wil iudge thee in the place where thou waſt created, euen in the land of thine habitation.
31.And I wil powre out mine indignacion vpõ thee, & wil blowe againſt thee in the fyre of my wrath, & deliuer thee into the hand of beaſtlie mẽ, & ſkilful to deſtroy.
32.Thou ſhalt be in ye fyre to be deuoured: thy blood ſhalbe in the middes of the lãd and thou ſhalt be no more remembred: for I the Lord haue ſpoken it.
