Ezekiel 15

As the vnprofitable wood of the vine tre is caſt into the fyre, ſo Ieruſalem ſhalbe burnt.
.ANd the worde of the Lord came vnto me, ſaying,
.Sonne of man, what cometh of the vine tre aboue all other trees? and of the vine branche, which is among the trees of the foreſt?
.Shal wood be take thereof to do any worke? or wil men take a pyn of it to hang any veſſel thereon?
.Beholde, it is caſt in the fyre to be conſumed: the fyre conſumeth bothe the ends of it, and the middes of it is burnt. Is it mete for any worke?
.Beholde, when it was whole, it was mete for no worke: how muche leſſe ſhal it be mete for any worke, when the fyre hathe conſumed it, and it is burnt?
.Therefore thus ſaith the Lord God, As the vine tre, that is among the trees of the foreſt, which I haue giuen to the fyre to be conſumed, ſo wil I giue the inhabitants of Ieruſalém.
.And I wil ſet my face againſt them: they ſhal go out from one fyre, & another fyre ſhal conſume them: & ye ſhal knowe, that I am the Lord, when I ſet my face againſt them,
.And when I make the land waſte, becauſe they haue greatly offended, ſaith the Lord God.
