8 He prophecieth that thei ſhalbe in captiuitie ſeuentie yeres, 12 And that after the ſeuentie yeres the Babylonians ſhulde be deſtroyed. 14 The deſtruction of all nations is prophecied.
2.The which Ieremiáh the Prophet ſpake vnto all the people of Iudáh, & to all the inhabitants of Ieruſalém, ſaying,
4.And the Lord hathe ſent vnto you all his ſeruants the Prophetes, riſing early and ſending them, but ye wolde not heare, nor encline your eares to obeie.
6.And go not after other gods to ſerue thẽ & to worſhip them, and prouoke me not to angre with the workes of your hands, & I wil not puniſh you.
7.Neuertheles ye wolde not heare me, ſaith the Lord, but haue prouoked me to angre with the workes of your hands to your owne hurt.
8.Therefore thus ſaith the Lord of hoſtes, Becauſe ye haue not heard my wordes,
11.And this whole land ſhal be deſolate, and an aſtoniſhment, & theſe nacions ſhal ſerue the King of Babél ſeuenty yeres.
13.And I wil bring vpon that land all my wordes which I haue pronounced againſt it, euen all yt is writen in this boke, which Ieremiáh hathe prophecied againſt all nations.
16.And they ſhal drinke, and be moued & be madde, becauſe of the ſworde, that I wil ſend among them.
17.Then toke I the cuppe at ye Lords hand, and made all people to drinke, vnto whome the Lord had ſent me:
19.Pharaóh alſo, King of Egypt, and his ſeruantes, and his princes, and all his people:
25.And all the Kings of Zimrí, and all the Kings of Elám, and all the Kings of the Medes.
27.Therefore ſay thou vnto them, Thus ſaith the Lord of hoſtes, the God of Iſraél, Drinke and be drunken, and ſpewe and fall, and riſe no more, becauſe of the ſworde, which I wil ſend among you.
28.¶ But if they refuſe to take ye cup at thine hand to drinke, then tel them, Thus ſaith ye Lord of hoſtes, ye ſhal certeinly drinke.
31.The ſounde ſhal come to the ends of the earth: for the Lord hathe a controuerſie wt the natiōs, and wil entre into iudgement with all fleſh, & he wil giue them that are wicked, to the ſworde, ſaith the Lord.
36.A voice of the crye of the ſhepherds, and an howling of the principal of the flocke ſhalbe heard: for the Lord hathe deſtroyed their paſture.
38.He hathe forſaken his couert, as the lion: for their land is waſte, becauſe of ye wrath of the oppreſſor, and becauſe of the wrath of his indignation.
