1 The frowardnes of the Iewes. 5 Curſed be thoſe that put their confidence in man. 9 Mans heart is wicked. 10 God is the ſearcher of the heart. 13 The liuing waters are forſaken. 21 The right keping of the Sabbath commanded.
6.For he ſhalbe like the heath in the wildernes, and ſhal not ſe when anie good cometh, but ſhal inhabit the parched places in the wildernes, in a ſalt land, and not inhabited.
7.Bleſſed be the man, that truſteth in the Lord, and whoſe hope the Lord is.
9.The heart is deceitful and wicked aboue all things, who can knowe it?
20.And ſay vnto them, Heare the worde of the Lord, ye Kings of Iudáh, and all Iudáh, and all the inhabitants of Ieruſalém, that entre in by theſe gates.
22.Nether carye forthe burdẽs out of your houſes in the Sabbath day: nether do ye anie worke, but ſanctifie the Sabbath, as I commanded your fathers.
23.But they obeyed not, nether inclined their eares, but made their neckes ſtiſſe & wolde not heare, nor receiue correction.
24.Neuertheles if ye wil heare me, ſaith the Lord, & beare no burden through the gates of the citie in the Sabbath day, but ſanctifie the Sabbath day, ſo that ye do no worke therein,
26.And thei ſhal come from the cities of Iudáh, and from about Ieruſalém, and from the land of Beniamín, and from the plaine, and from the mountaines, and from ye South, which ſhal bring burnt offrings, & ſacrifices, and meat offrings, and incenſe, & ſhal bring ſacrifice of praiſe into the Houſe of the Lord.
27.But if ye wil not heare me to ſanctifie ye Sabbath daie, and not to beare a burden nor to go through the gates of Ieruſalém in ye Sabbath daie, then wil I kindle a fyre in the gates thereof, and it ſhal deuoure the palaces of Ieruſalém, and it ſhal not be quenched.
