Psalm 96

1 An exhortation bothe to the Iewes and Gentiles to praiſe God for his mercie. And this ſpecially oght to be referred to the kingdome of Chriſt.
1.SIng vnto the Lord a newe ſong: ſing vnto the Lord, all the earth.
2.Sing vnto the Lord, & praiſe his Name: declare his ſaluacion from daie to daie.
3.Declare his glorie among all nations, and his wonders among all people.
4.For the Lord is great and muche to be praiſed: he is to be feared aboue all gods.
5.For all the gods of the people are idoles: but the Lord made the heauens.
6.Strégth & glorie are before him: power and beautie are in his Sanctuarie.
7.Giue vnto ye Lord, ye families of ye people: giue vnto the Lord glorie & power.
8.Giue vnto the Lord the glorie of his Name: bring an offring, and entre into his courtes.
9.Worshyp the Lord in the glorious Sanctuarie: tremble before him all the earth.
10.Saie amõg the nations, The Lord reigneth: ſurely the worlde ſhalbe ſtable, & not moue, & he ſhal iudge the people in righteouſnes.
11.Let the heauens reioyce, & let the earth be glad: let the ſea roare, and all that therein is.
12.Let the field be ioyful, and all that is in it: let all the trees of the wood then reioyce
13.Before the Lord. for he commeth, for he commeth to iudge the earth: he wil iudge the worlde with righteouſnes, & the people in his trueth.

The Prophet ſheweth that the time ſhal come, that all natiōs ſhal haue occaſion to praiſe ye Lord for ye reueiling of his Goſpel.

Seīg he wil reueile hī ſelfe to all nations cōtrary to their owne ex pectation, they oght all to worſhip him contrary to their owne imaginatiōs, & onely as he hathe appointed.

He prophecieth that the Gentiles ſhalbe partakers w the Iewes of Gods promes

He ſhal regenerate them anewe with his Spirit, and reſtore them to the image of God.

If the inſenſible creatures ſhal haue cauſe to reioyce, when God appeareth, much more we, from whome he hathe taken malediction & ſinne.
