Psalms 50

Because the Chruch is alwaie ful of hypocrites, 8 Which do imagine that God wilbe worshipped with outward ceremonies only, without the heart: and especially the Jews were of this opinion, because of their figures and ceremonies of the Law, thinking that their sacrifices were sufficient, 21 Therefore the Prophet doeth reprove this gross error, and pronounceth the Name of God to be blasphemed, where holiness is set in ceremonies. 23 For he declareth the worship of God to be spiritual, whereof are two principal parts, invocation, and thanksgiving.
A psalme of aAsáph.
.The God of gods, even the Lord hath spoken and called the bearth from the rising up of the sun unto the going down thereof.
.Out of Zión, which is the cperfection of beauty, hath God shined.
.Our God shal come and shal not kepe silence, da fyre shal devoure before him, and a mightie tempest shal be moved round about him.
.He shal call the heaven above, and ethe earth to judge his people.
.Gather my fSaints together unto me, those that make a covenant with me with gsacrifice.
.And the heavens shal declare his righteousness: for God is Judge him self. Sélah.
.Hear, ô my people, and I will speak: hear, ô Israél, and I wil testifie unto thee, for I am God, even thy God.
.I wil not hreprove thee for thy sacrifices, or thy burnt offrings, continually before me.
.I wil take no bullock out of thine house, nor goates out of thy foldes.
.iFor all the beasts of the forest are mine, and the beasts on a thousand mountains.
.I know all the foules on the mountains: and the wilde beasts of the field are mine.
.If I be hungry, I wil not tel thee: for the world is mine, and all that therein is.
.kWil I eat the flesh of bulls? or drink the blood of goates?
.Offer unto God praise, and lpaie thy vowes unto the most High,
.And call upon me in the daie of trouble: so wil I deliver thee, and thou shalt glorifie me.
.But unto the wicked said God, mWhat hast thou to do to declare mine ordinances, that thou shuldest take my covenant in thy mouth,
.Seing thou hatest nto be reformed, and hast cast my words behind thee?
.For when thou seest a thief, othou runnest with him, and thou art partaker with the adulterers.
.Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and with thy tongue thou forgest deceit.
.Thou psittest, & speakest against thy brother, & sclanderest thy mother’s son.
.These things hast thou done, and I held my tongue: therefore thou thoghtest that I was like thee: but I wil reprove thee, and qset them in order before thee.
.Oh consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none that can deliver you.
.He that offereth rpraise, shal glorifie me: and to him, that sdisposeth his way aright, wil I tshewe the salvation of God.
