Psalms 29

1.Give unto the Lord, ye asonnes of the mightie: give unto the Lord glorie and strength.
2.Give unto the Lord glorie due unto his Name: worship the Lord in the glorious Sanctuary.
3.The bvoice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory maketh it to thunder: the Lord is upon the great waters.
4.The voice of the Lord is mighty: the voice of the Lord is glorious.
5.The cvoice of the Lord breaketh the cedars: yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanón.
6.He maketh them also to leap like a calf: Lebanón also and dShirión like a young unicorn.
7.The voice of the Lord devideth the eflames of fire.
8.The voice of the Lord maketh the wilderness to tremble: the Lord maketh the wilderness of fKadésh to tremble.
9.The voice of the Lord maketh the hindes to gcalve, and hdiscovereth the forests: therefore in his iTemple doeth every man speak of his glory.
10.The Lord sitteth upon the kflood, and the Lord doeth remain King for ever.
11.The Lord shal give strength unto his people: the Lord shal bless his people with peace.

Notes

1-a.
He exhorts the proud tyrants to humble themselves under God's hand and not to be inferior to brute beasts and dumb creatures.
3-b.
The thunder claps, that are heard out of the clouds, ought to make the wicked to tremble for fear of God's anger
5-c.
That is, the thunderbolt breaks the most strong trees, and shall men think their power to be able to resist God?
6-d.
Called also Hermon.
7-e.
It causes the lightenings to shoot and glide.
8-f.
In places most desolate, where as seems there is no presence of God.
9-g.
For fear makes them to cast their calves.
9-h.
Makes the trees bare, or pierces the most secret places.
9-i.
Though the wicked are nothing moved with these sights, yet the faithful praise God.
10-k.
To moderate the rage of the tempest and waters, that they destroy not all.
