Psalms 107

The Prophet exhorteth all those that are redemed by the Lord, and gathered unto him to give thanks, 9 For this merciful providence of God, governing all things at his good pleasure, 10 Sending good and evil, prosperitie and adversitie to bring men Unto him 42 Therefore as the righteous thereat rejoyce, so shal the wicked have their mouthes stopped.
.Praise athe Lord, because he is good: for his mercie endureth for ever.
.Let them, bwhich have been redemed of the Lord, shewe how he hath delivered them from the hand of the oppressor,
.And gathered them out of the lands, from the East and from the West, from the North and from the ^South.
.When they wandered in the desert and wilderness out of the way, and found no citie to dwell in,
.cBoth hungrie and thirstie, their soul fainted in them.
.Then they cryed unto the Lord in their trouble, & he delivered them from their distres,
.And led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
.Let them therefore confess before the Lord his loving kindness, and his wonderful works before the sons of men.
.For he satisfied the thirstie soul, and filled the hungrie soul with goodness.
.They, that dwell in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in miserie and yron,
.Because they drebelled against the words of the Lord, and despised the counsel of the most High,
.When he humbled their heart with heaviness, then they fell down and there was no helper.
.Then they ecryed unto the Lord in their trouble, & he delivered them from their distress.
.He brought them out of darkness, and out of the shadow of death, and brake their bands a sundre.
.Let them therefore confess before the Lord his loving kindness, and his wonderful works before the sons of men.
.For he hathe broken the fgates of brasse, and brast the bars of yron a sundre.
.gFooles by reason of their transgression and because of their iniquities are afflicted.
.Their soul abhorreth all meat, and they are brought to death’s door.
.Then they crye unto the Lord in their trouble, & he delivereth them from their distres.
.hHe sendeth his word and healeth them, and delivereth them from their igraves.
.Let them therefore confess before the Lord his loving kindness, and his wonderful works before the sons of men,
.And let them offer sacrifices of kpraise, and declare his works with rejoycing.
.They that go down to the lsea in shippes, and occupy by the great waters,
.They se the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.
.For he commandeth and raiseth the stormie wind, & it lifteth up the waves thereof.
.They mount up to the heaven, and descend to the deep, so that their soule mmelteth for trouble.
.They are tossed to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and all their ncunning is gone.
.Then they crye unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distress.
.He turneth the storm to calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
.When they are oquieted, they are glad, and he bringeth them unto the haven, where they would be.
.Let them therefore confess before the Lord his loving kindness, and his wonderful works before the sonnes of men.
.And let them exalt him in the pCongregation of the people, and praise him in the assemblie of the Elders.
.He turneth the floods into a wilderness, and the springs of waters into drienes,
.And a fruteful land into ^barrennes for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
.Again he qturneth the wilderness into pooles of water, and the drye land into water springs.
.And there he placeth the hungrie, and they build a citie to dwell in,
.And sowe the fields, and plant vineyards, which bring forth fruteful rincrease.
.For he blesseth them, and they multiplie exceedingly, and he diminisheth not their cattel.
.sAgain men are diminished, and brought low by oppression, evil and sorrow.
.He powreth tcontempt upon princes, and causeth them to erre in desert places out of the way.
.Yet he raiseth up the poor out of misery, and maketh him families like a flock of sheep.
.The urighteous shal se it, and rejoyce, and all iniquitie shal stop her mouth.
.Who is wise that he maie observe these things? for they shal understand the loving kindness of the Lord.
