Psalms 100

1 He exhorteth all to serve the Lord, 3 Who hath chosen us and preserved us, 4 And to entre into his assemblies to praise his Name.
A psalme of praise.
1.Sing aye loude unto the Lord, all the earth.
2.Serve the Lord with gladness: come before him with joyfulness.
3.Know ye that even the Lord is God: he hath bmade us, and not we our selves: we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4.cEnter into his gates with praise, and into his courts with rejoycing: praise him and bless his Name.
5.For the Lord is good: his mercie is deverlasting, and his truth is from generation to generation.

Notes

1-a.
He prophesies that God’s benefit in calling the Gentiles, shall be so great that they shall have wonderful occasion to praise his mercy and rejoice.
3-b.
He chiefly means, touching the spiritual regeneration, whereby we are his sheep and people.
4-c.
He shows that God will not be worshipped, but by that means, which he has appointed.
5-d.
He declares that we ought never to be weary in praising him, seeing his mercies toward us last forever.
