1 Aház an idolater is giuen into the hands of the Syriãs, and the King of Iſrael. 9 The Prophet reproueth the Iſraelites crueltie. 18 Iudáh is moleſted with enemies. 23 Aház increaſeth his idolatrie. 26 His death and ſucceſſour.
4.He ſacrificed alſo and burnt incenſe in the hie places, and on hilles, and vnder euerie grene tre.
11.Now therefore heare me, and deliuer the capitaines againe, which ye haue takẽ priſoners of your brethren: for ye fearce wrath of the Lord is toward you.
14.So the armie left the captiues and the ſpoile before the princes and all the Congregacion.
17.(For the Edomites came moreouer, and ſlewe of Iudáh, & caryed away captiues.
18.The Philiſtims alſo inuaded the cities in the lowe countrey, and towarde the South of Iudáh, and toke Bethſhémeſh and Aialón, and Gederóth and Shochó, with the villages thereof, & Timnáh, with her villages, and Gimzo, with her villages, and they dwelt there.
20.And Tigláth Pilneéſer King of Aſſhúr came vnto him who troubled him and did not ſtrengthen him.
22.And in the time of his tribulacion did he yet treſpaſſe more againſt the Lord, (this is King Aház)
24.And Aház gathered the veſſels of the houſe of God, and brake the veſſels of the houſe of God, and ſhut vp the dores of the houſe of the Lord, and made him altars in euerie corner of Ieruſalém.
25.And in euerie citie of Iudáh he made hie places, to burne incenſe vnto other gods, and prouoked to angre the Lord God of his fathers.
26.Concerning the reſt of his actes, and all his wayes firſt and laſt, beholde, they are writen in the boke of the Kings of Iudáh, and Iſraél.
