2 Chronicles 27

1 Iothám reigneth, and ouercometh the Ammonites. 8 His reigne & death. 9 Ahaz his ſonne reigneth in his ſtead.
1.IOtham was fyue & twentie yere olde when he began to reigne, and reigned ſixtene yere in Ieruſalém, and his mothers name was Ieruſháh the daughter of Zadók.
2.And he did vprightly in the ſight of the Lord according to all that his father Vzziáh did, ſaue that he entred not into the Temple of the Lord, and the people did yet corrupt their waies.
3.He buylt the hye gate of the houſe of the Lord, and he buylt very muche on the wall of the caſtel.
4.Moreouer he buylt cities in the mountaines of Iudáh, and in the foreſts he buylt palaces and towres.
5.And he foght with the King of the children of Ammón, and preuailed againſt them. And the children of Ammón gaue him the ſame yere an hundreth talents of ſiluer, and ten thouſand meaſures of wheat, and ten thouſand of barly: this did the children of Ammón giue him bothe in the ſecond yere and the third.
6.So Iothám became mightie becauſe he directed his way before the Lord his God.
7.Concerning the reſt of the actes of Iothám, and all his warres and his wayes, lo, they are written in the boke of the Kings of Iſraél, and Iudáh.
8.He was fyue and twentie yere olde when he began to reigne, and reigned ſixtene yere in Ieruſalém.
9.And Iothám ſlept with his fathers, and they buryed him in the citie of Dauid: & Aház his ſonne reigned in his ſtead.
