Genesis 5

The genealogie, Age and deathe of Adám, His ſucceſſion vnto Nóah and his children.
1.THis is the " boke of the generacions of Adám. In the day that God created Adám, in the a likenes of God made he him,
2.Male and female created he thé, & bleſſed them, and called their name b Adám in the day that they were created.
3.¶ Now Adám liued an hūdreth and thirtie yeres and begate a childe in his owne c likenes after his image, and called his name Sheth.
4.* And the dayes of Adám, after he had begotten Sheth, were eight hundreth yeres, and he begate ſonnes and daughters.
5.So all the dayes that Adám liued, were nine hundreth and thirtie yeres: and he dyed.
6.And d Sheth liued an hundreth, and fyue yeres, and begate Enóſh.
7.And Sheth liued, after he begate Enóſh, eight hundreth and ſeuen yeres, and begate ſonnes and daughters.
8.So all the dayes of Sheth were e nine húdreth and twelue yeres: & he dyed.
9.¶ Alſo Enóſh liued ninety yeres & begate Kenán.
10.And Enóſh liued, after he begate Kenán, eight hundreth and fiſtene yeres, and begate ſonnes and daughters.
11.So all the daies of Enóſh were nine hundreth and fiue yeres: and he dyed.
12.¶ Likewiſe Kenán liued ſeuentie yeres, and begate Mahalaleél.
13.And Kenán liued, after he begate Mahalaleél, eight hundreth and fourty yeres, & begate ſonnes and daughters.
14.So all the dayes of Kenán were nine hūdreth and ten yeres: and he dyed.
15.¶ Mahalaleél alſo liued fixty & fiue yeres and begate Iéred.
16.Alſo Mahalaleél liued , after he begate Iéred, eight hundreth and thirty yeres , & begate ſonnes and daughters.
17.So all the dayes of Mahalaleél were eight hundreth ninety and fiue yeres: and he dyed.
18.¶ And Iéred liued an hundreth ſixty and two yeres, and begate Henóch.
19.Then Iéred liued , after he begate Henóch, eight hundreth yeres, and begate ſonnes and daughters.
20.So all the dayes of Iéred were nine hundreth ſixty and two yeres: & he dyed.
21.* Alſo Henóch liued ſixty and fiue yeres, and begate Methuſhélah.
22.And Henóch f walked with God, after he begate Methuſhélah, thre hundreth yeres, and begate ſonnes and daughters.
23.So all the daies of Henóch were thre hūdreth ſixty and fiue yeres.
24.And Henóch walked with God, and he was no more ſene : for g God toke him away.
25.Methuſhélah alſo liued an hundreth eighty and ſeuen yeres , and begate Lámech.
26.And Methuſhélah liued, after he begate Lámech, ſeuen hundreth eighty and two yeres, and begate ſonnes and daughters.
27.So all the dayes of Methuſhélah were nine hundreth ſixty and nine yeres : and he dyed.
28.¶ Then Lámech liued an hūdreth eighty and two yeres, and begate a ſonne,
29.And called his name Nóah , ſaying, This ſame ſhal h comforte vs concerning our worke and ſorowe of our hands , as touching the earth, which the Lord hathe curſed.
30.And Lámech liued, after he begate Nóah, fiue hundreth ninety and fiue yeres, and begate ſonnes and daughters.
31.So all the dayes of Lámech were ſeuē hundreth ſeuenty and ſeuen yeres: and he dyed.
32.32 And Nóah was fiue hundreth yere olde. And Nóah begate Shem, Ham and Iápheth.
