1 The faith of Abrahám is proued in offring his ſonne Izhák. 8 Izhák is a figure of Chriſt. 20 The generacion of Nahór Abrahams brother, of whome cõmeth Rebekáh.
3.Then Abrahám roſe vp early in the morning, and ſadled his aſſe, and toke two of his ſeruants with him, and Izhák his ſonne, and cloue wood for the burnt offring, and roſe vp and went to the place, which God had tolde him.
4.¶ Then ye third day Abrahám lift vp his eies, and ſawe the place a farre of,
5.And ſaid vnto his ſeruants, Abide you here wt the aſſe: for I & the childe wil go yóder & worſhip, & come againe vnto you.
7.Then ſpake Izhák vnto Abrahám his father, & ſaid, My father. And he anſwered, Here am I, my ſonne. And he ſaid, Beholde the fire & the wood, but where is the lambe for the burnt offring?
8.Thẽ Abrahám anſwered, My ſonne, God wil prouide him a lambe for a burnt offring: ſo they went bothe together.
11.But ye Angel of the Lord called vnto him from heauẽ, ſaying, Abrahám, Abrahám. And he anſwered, Here am I.
13.And Abrahám lifting vp his eies, loked: & beholde, there was a ram behinde him caught by ye hornes in a buſhe. then Abraham wẽt & toke the ram & offred him vp for a burnt offring in ye ſtede of his ſonne.
15.¶ And the Angel of the Lord cryed vnto Abrahám from heauen the ſeconde time,
19.Then turned Abrahám againe vnto his ſeruants, and they roſe vp and went together to Beer-ſhéba: and Abrahám dwelt at Beer-ſhéba.
20.¶ And after theſe thĩgs one tolde Abrahám, ſayig, Beholde Milcáh, ſhe hathe alſo borne children vnto thy brother Nahór:
22.And Chéſed and Hazó, & Pildáſh, & Iidláph, and Bethuél.
23.And Bethuél begate Rebekáh: theſe eight did Milcáh beare to Nahór Abrahams brother.
