Judges 4

Israél sinne and are given into the hands of Jabín. 4 Deboráh judgeth Israél & exhorteth Barák to deliver the people 15 Siserá fleeth, 17 And is killed by Jaél.
.And the children of Israél ^began againe to do wickedly in the sight of the Lord when Ehúd was dead.
.And the Lord solde them into the hand of aJabin King of Canaan, that reigned in Hazór, whose chief captaine was called Siserá, which dwelt in bHaroshúth of the Gentiles.
.Then the children of Israél cryed unto the Lord: (for he had nine hundreth charets of yron, and twentie yeres he had vexed the children of Israél very sore)
.¶ And at that time Deboráh a Prophetesse the wife of Lapidóth cjudged Israél.
.And this Deboráh dwelt under a palme tre, betwene Ramáh and Beth-él in mount Ephráim, and the children of Israél came up to her for judgement.
.Then she sent and called Barák the sonne of Abinóam out of Kédesh of Naphtali, and said unto him, Hathe not the Lord God of Israél dcommanded, saying, Go, & drawe toward mount Tabór, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?
.And I wil drawe unto thee to the *^river Kishón Siserá, the captaine of Jabins armie with his charets, and his multitude, and wil deliver him into thine hand.
.And Barák said unto her, eIf thou wilt go with me, I wil go: but if thou wilt not go with me, I wil not go.
.Then she answered, I wil surely go with thee, but this journey that thou takest, shal not be for thine honour: for the Lord shal sel Siserá into the hand of a woman. And Deboráh arose and went with Barák to Kédesh.
.¶ And Barák called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kédesh, and ^he went up on his fete with ten thousand men, and Deboráh went up with him.
.(Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the ^children of *Hobáb the father in law of Moses, was departed from the ^Kenites, and pitched his tent funtil the plaine of Zaanaim, which is by Kédesh)
.Then they shewed Siserá, that Barák the sonne of Abinóam was gone up to mount Tabór.
.And Siserá called for all his charets, even nine hundreth charets of yron, and all the people that were with him from Harosheth of the Gentiles, unto the river Kishón.
.Then Deboráh said unto Barák, gUp: for this is the day that the Lord hathe delivered Siserá into thine hand. Is not the Lord gone out before thee? so Barák went downe from mount Tabór, and ten thousand men after him.
.And the Lord destroyed Siserá and all his charets, and all his hoste with the edge of the sworde, before Barák, so that Siserá lighted downe of his charet, and fled away on his fete.
.But *Barák pursued after the charets, and after the hoste unto Haroshéth of the Gentiles: and all the hoste of Siserá fel upon the edge of the sworde: there was not a man left.
.Howbeit, Siserá fled away on his fete to the tent of Jaél the wife of hHebér the Kenite: (for peace was betwene Jabin the King of Hazór, and betwene the house of Hebér the Kenite)
.And Jaél went out to mete Siserá, and said unto him, Turne in, my Lord, turne into me: feare not. And when he had turned in unto her into her tent, she covered him with a ^mantel.
.And he said unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a litle water to drinke: for I am thirsty. And she opened *a bottle of milke & gave him drinke, and covered him.
.Againe he said unto her, Stande in the dore of the tent, and when anie man doeth come and enquire of thee, saying, Is ianie man here? thou shalt say, Nay.
.Then Jaél Hebers wife toke a knayle of the tent, and toke an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the naile into his temples, and fastened it into the grounde, (for he was fast a slepe, and wearie) and so he dyed.
.And beholde, as Barák pursued after Siserá, Jaél came out to mete him, and said unto him, Come, and I wil shewe thee the man, whome thou sekest: and when he came into her tent, beholde, Siserá lay ldead, and the naile in his temples.
.So God broght downe Jabin the King of Canáan that day before the children of Israél.
.And the hand of the children of Israél ^prospered, & prevailed against Jabin the King of Canáan, until they had destroyed Jabin King of Canáan.
