3.If so be that ye have tasted how bountiful the Lord is.
4.To whom ye come as unto a living stone disallowed of men, but chosen of God and precious.
14.Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent of him, for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15.For so is the will of God, that by well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of the foolish men,
16.As free, and not as having the liberty for a cloak of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
20.For what praise is it, if when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye take it patiently? but and if when ye do well, ye suffer wrong and take it patiently, this is acceptable to God.
21.For hereunto ye are called: for Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example that ye should follow his steps.
23.Who when he was reviled, reviled not again: when he suffered, he threatened not, but committed it to him that judgeth righteously.
25.For ye were as sheep going astray: but are now returned unto the shepherd and bishop of your souls.
