Leviticus 19

1 A repetition of sondrie lawes and ordinances.
1.AND the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
2.Speake vnto all the Congregacion of the children of Israel, and say vnto them, a Ye shalbe holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.
3.Ye shal feare euerie man his mother & his father, and shal kepe my Sabbaths: for I am the Lord your God.
4.Ye shal not turne vnto idoles, nor make you molten gods: I am the Lord your God.
5.And when ye shal offer a peace offring vnto the Lord, ye shal offer it b frely.
6.* It shalbe eaten the day ye offer it, or on the morowe: & that which remaineth vntil the third day, shal be burnt in the fire.
7.For if it be eaten the third day, it shalbe vncleane, it shal not be c accepted.
8.Therefore he that eateth it, shal beare his iniquitie, because he hathe defiled the halowed thing of the Lord, and that persone shal be cut of from his people.
9.* When ye reape ye haruest of your land, ye shal not reape euerie corner of your field, nether shalt thou gather the " glainings of thy haruest.
10.Thou shalt not gather the grapes of thy vineyarde cleane, nether gather euery grape of thy vineyarde, but thou shalt leaue them for the poore and for the stranger: I am the Lord your God.
11.Ye shal not steale, nether d deale falsly, nether lie one to another.
12.* Also ye shal not sweare by my Name falsely, nether shalt thou defile the Name of thy God: I am the Lord.
13.Thou shalt not do thy neighbour " wrõg, nether robbe him. * The workemãs hire shal not abide with thee vntil the morning.
14.Thou shalt not curse the deafe, * nether put a stumbling blocke before the blinde, but shalt feare thy God: I am the Lord.
15.Ye shal not do vniustly in iudgement. * Thou shalt not fauour the persone of the poore, nor honour the persone of the mighty, but ÿ shalt iudge thy neighbour iustly.
16.Thou shalt not e walke about with tales among thy people. Thou shalt not f stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the Lord.
17.Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart, but thou shalt plainely rebuke thy neighbour, " and suffre him not to sinne.
18.Thou shalt not auenge, nor be mindful of wrong against the childrẽ of thy people, * but shalt loue thy neighbour as thy selfe: I am the Lord.
19.Ye shal kepe mine ordinances. Thou shalt not let thy cattel gendre with g others of diuers kĩdes. Thou shalt not sowe thy field with mingled sede, nether shal a garment of diuers things, as of linen and wollen come vpon thee.
20.Whosoeuer also lieth and medleth with a woman that is a bonde maid, affianced to a housband, and not redemed, nor nor fredome giuen her, " ſhe ſhalbe ſcourged, but they ſhal not dye, becauſe ſhe is not made fre.
21.And he ſhal bring for his treſpas offring vnto the Lord, at the dore of the Tabernacle of the Congregacion, a ram for a treſpas offring.
22.Then the Prieſt ſhal make an atoneme n t for him with the ram of the treſpas offring before the Lord, co n cerning his ſinne which he hath done, and pardon ſhalbe giuen him for his ſinne which he hathe committed.
23.¶Alſo when ye ſhal come into the land, and haue planted euerie tre for meat, ye i ſhal counte the frute thereof as vncircu m ciſed: thre yeres ſhal it be vncircu m ciſed vnto you, it ſhal not be eaten:
24.But in the fourth yere all the frute thereof ſhal be holy to the praiſe of the Lord.
25.And in the fift yere ſhal ye eat of the frute of it that it may " yelde to you the encreaſe thereof: I am the Lord your God.
26.¶Ye ſhal not eat the fleſh with the blood, ye ſhal not vſe witch craft, nor l obſerue times.
27.* Ye ſhal not m cut round the corners of your heades, nether ſhalt thou " marre the tuftes of thy beard.
28.* Ye ſhal not cut your fleſh for the " dead, nor make anie printe of a n marke vpon you: I am the Lord.
29.¶Thou ſhalt not make thy daughter commen, to cauſe her to be a o whore, leſt the land alſo fall to whoredome and the land be ful of wickednes.
30.¶Ye ſhal kepe my Sabbaths and reuerence my Sanctuarie: I am the Lord.
31.¶Ye ſhal not regarde them that worke wt ſpirits, * nether ſotheſaiers: ye ſhal not ſeke to them to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.
32.¶Thou ſhalt p riſe vp before the horehed, and honour the perſone of the olde man, and dread thy God: I am the Lord.
33.¶And if a ſtranger ſoiourne with thee in your land, ye ſhal not " vexe him.
34.* But the ſtra n ger that dwelleth with you, ſhalbe as one of your ſelues, & thou ſhalt loue him as thy ſelfe: for ye were ſtrangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
35.¶Ye ſhal not do vniuſtly in iudgement, in q line, in weight, or in meaſure.
36.* You ſhal haue iuſte balances, true weightes, a true r Epháh, and a true Hin. I am ye Lord your God, which haue broght you out of the land of Egypt.
37.Therefore ſhal ye obſerue all mine ordinances, and all my iudgements, and do them: I am the Lord.
