Ezekiel 47

1 The viſion of the waters that came out of the Temple. 13 The coaſtes of the land of promes, & the deuiſion thereof by tribes.
1.AFterward he broght me vnto the dore of the houſe: and beholde, waters yſſued out from vnder the threſholde of the houſe Eaſtwarde: for the forefronte of the houſe ſtode towarde the Eaſt, and the waters ran downe from vnder the right ſide of the Houſe, at the South ſide of the altar.
2.Then broght he me out toward ye North gate, and led me about by the way without vnto the vtter gate, by the way that turneth Eaſtwarde: and beholde, there came forthe waters on the right ſide.
3.And when the man that had the line in his hãd, went forthe Eaſtwarde, he meaſured a thouſand cubites, & he broght me through the waters: the waters were to the ancles.
4.Againe he meaſured a thouſãd, & broght me through th waters: the waters were to the knees: againe he meaſured a thouſand, and broght me through: the waters were to the loines.
5.Afterward he meaſured a thouſand, and it was a riuer, that I colde not paſſe ouer: for the waters were riſen, & the waters did flowe, as a riuer that colde not be paſſed ouer.
6.And he ſaid vnto me, Sonne of man, haſt thou ſene this? Then he broght me, & cauſed me to returne to ye brinke of the riuer.
7.Now whẽ I returned, beholde, at ye brinke of the riuer were very many trees on the one ſide, and on the other.
8.Thẽ ſaid he vnto me, Theſe waters yſſue out towarde the Eaſt countrey, and runne downe into ye plaine, and ſhal go into the ſea: thei ſhal runne into another ſea, and the waters ſhalbe holſome.
9.And euerie thing that liueth, which moueth, whereſoeuer ye riuers ſhal come, ſhal liue, and there ſhalbe a very great multitude of fiſh, becauſe theſe waters ſhal come thether: for thei ſhalbe holſome, & euerie thing ſhal liue whether ye riuer cometh.
10.And then the fiſhers ſhal ſtand vpon it, and from En-gédi euen vnto En-egláim, thei ſhal ſpreade out their nettes: for their fiſh ſhalbe according to their kindes, as the fiſh of ye maine ſea, exceading many.
11.But the myrie places thereof, & the mariſhes thereof ſhal not be holſome: thei ſhal be made ſalt pittes.
12.And by this riuer vpon the brinke thereof, on this ſide, & on that ſide ſhal growe all fruteful trees, whoſe leafe ſhal not fade, nether ſhal the frute thereof faile: it ſhal bring forthe new frute according to his moneths, becauſe their waters rúne out of the Sanctuarie: and the frute thereof ſhalbe meat, & the leaf thereof ſhalbe for medicine.
13.¶ Thus ſaith ye Lord God, This ſhal be the border, whereby ye ſhal inherit the land according to ye twelue tribes of Iſraél: Ioſeph ſhal haue two porcions.
14.And ye ſhal inherit it, one aſwel as another: concerning the which I lift vp mine hand to giue it vnto your fathers, and this lãd ſhal fall vnto you for inheritãce.
15.And this ſhalbe the border of the land toward the North ſide, frõ the maine ſea toward Hethlón as men go to Zedádah:
16.Hamáth, Berotháh, Sibráim, which is betwene the border of Damaſcus, and the border of Hamáth: and Hazár, Hatticón, which is by the coaſt of Haurán.
17.And the border from the ſea ſhalbe Hazár, Enán, & the border of Damaſcus, and the reſidue of the North, Northwarde, & the border of Hamáth: ſo ſhal be the North parte.
18.But the Eaſt ſide ſhal ye meaſure from Haurán, and from Damiſcus, and from Gileád, and from the land of Iſraél by Iordén, & from the border vnto the Eaſt ſea: and ſo ſhalbe the Eaſt parte.
19.And the Southſide ſhalbe toward Temán from Tamár to the waters of Mri-bóth in Kadéſh, & the riuer to the maine ſea: ſo ſhalbe ye South parte toward Temán.
20.The Weſt parte alſo ſhalbe the great ſea frõ the border, til a mã come ouer againſt Hamáth: this ſhalbe the Weſt parte.
21.So ſhal ye deuide this land vnto you, according to the tribes of Iſraél.
22.And you ſhal deuide it by lot for an inheritãce vnto you, & to the ſtrangers that dwell among you, which ſhal beget children among you, & thei ſhalbe vnto you, as borne in the countrei amõg the childrẽ of Iſraél, thei ſhal partte inheritance with you in the middes of the tribes of Iſraél.
23.And in what tribe the ſtrange dwelleth, there ſhal ye giue him his inheritance, ſaith the Lord God.

Whereby are ment the ſpiritual graces that ſhulde be giuen to the Church vnder ye kingdome of Chriſt.

Signifying that ye graces of God ſhulde neuer decreaſe but euer abounde in his Church.

Meaning ye multitude of them yt ſhulde be refreſhed by the ſpiritual waters

Shewing yt the abundance of theſe graces ſhulde be ſo great, yt all the worlde ſhulde be ful thereof, which is here ment by ye Perſian ſea or Genezareth, & the ſea called Mediterraneũ, Za 14.8.

The waters which of nature are ſalt & vnholſome, ſhalbe made ſwete & comfortable

Signifying yt when God beſtoweth his mercies in ſuche abundãce, the miniſters ſhal by their preaching winne many

Thei ſhalbe here of all ſortes, and in as great abundance as in the great Ocean where they are bred
