Psalm 87

The holie Goſt promiſeth that the condition of the Church, which was in miſerie after the captiuitie of Babylon, ſhoulde be reſtored to great excellencie, 4 So that there ſhoulde be nothing more comfortable then to be nombred among the members thereof.
¶A Pſalme or ſong committed to the ſonnes of Kórah.
1.GOd laied his fundacions among the holie mountaines.
2.The Lord loueth ye gates of Zión aboue all the habitacions of Iaakób.
3.Glorious things are ſpoken of thee, ô Citie of God. Sélah.
4.I wil make mention of Raháb and Babél among them that knowe me: beholde Paleſtina & Tyrus with Ethiopia, There is he borne.
5.And of Zión it ſhalbe ſaid, Manie are borne in her: and hè, euen the moſt High ſhal ſtabliſh her.
6.The Lord ſhal count, when he writeth the people, He was borne there. Sélah.
7.Aſwel the ſingers as the plaiers on inſtruments ſhal praiſe thee: all my ſprings are in thee.

Thogh thy glorious eſtate do not yet appeare, yet waite wt pacience & God wil ac compliſh his promes

That is, Egypt & theſe other cōtreis ſhal come to ye knowledge of God.

It ſhalbe ſaid of hī, yt is regēerat & come to the Church, yt he is as one that was borne in the Church.

Out of all quarters they ſhal come into the Church and be counted as citizens

When he calleth by his worde them into the Church, whome he had elected and written in his boke
7:g.
The Prophet fetteth his whole affections and comfort in the Church
