Psalm 25

The Prophet touched with the conſideration of his ſinnes, and alſo grieued with the cruel malice of his enemies, 6 Prayeth to God moſte feruently to haue his ſinnes forgiuen, 7 Eſpecially ſuche as he had committed in his youth. He beginneth euerie verſe according to the Ebrewe letters two or thre except.
¶ A Pſalme of Dauid.
1.VNto thee, ô Lord, lift I vp my ſoule.
2.My God, I truſt in thee: let me not be confounded: let not mine enemies reioyce ouer me.
3.So all that hope in thee, ſhal not be aſhamed: but let them be confounded, that trãſgreſſe without cauſe.
4.Shew me thy waies, ô Lord, & teache me thy paths.
5.Lead me forthe in thy trueth, and teache me: for thou art the God of my ſaluacion: in thee do I truſt all the daie.
6.Remember, ô Lord, thy tendre mercies, and thy louing kindenes: for thei haue bene for euer.
7.Remember not the ſinnes of my youth, nor my rebellions, but according to thy kindenes remember thou me, euen for thy goodnes ſake, ô Lord.
8.Gracious and righteous is the Lord: therefore wil he teache ſinners in the waie.
9.Them that be meke, wil he guide in iudgement, and teache the humble his waie.
10.All the paths of the Lord are mercie & trueth vnto ſuch as kepe his couenant and his teſtimonies.
11.For thy Names ſake, ô Lord, be merciful vnto mine iniquitie, for it is great.
12.What man is he that feareth the Lord? him wil he teache the waie that he ſhal chuſe.
13.His ſoule ſhal dwel at eaſe, and his ſede ſhal inherite the land.
14.The ſecret of the Lord is reueiled to them, that feare him: and his couenant to giue them vnderſtanding.
15.Mine eies are euer toward the Lord: for he wil bring my fete out of the net.
16.Turne thy face vnto me, and haue mercie vpon me: for I am deſolate and poore.
17.The ſorowes of mine heart are enlarged: drawe me out of my troubles.
18.Loke vpon mine affliction & my trauel, and forgiue all my ſinnes.
19.Beholde mine enemies, for thei are many, and they hate me with cruel hatred.
20.Kepe my ſoule, & deliuer me: let me not be confounded, for I truſt in thee.
21.Let mine vprightnes and equitie preſerue me: for mine hope is in thee.
22.Deliuer Iſraél, ô God, out of all his troubles.

That is, cal them to repentance.

He wil gouerne & cõfort them that are truely hũbled for their ſinnes

And for none other reſpect.

Meaning, the nomber is very ſmall

He wil direct ſuch by his Spirit to followe the right waie

He ſhal proſper bothe in ſpiritual and corporal thĩgs
14:m.
His counſel conteined in his worde, whereby he declareth that he is ye protector of the faithful

My grief is increaſed becauſe of mine enemies crueltie
19:o.
The greater that his afflictions were, ye more that his enemies increaſed, the more nere felt he Gods helpe
21:p.
For as muche as I haue behaued my ſelſe vprightly toward mine enemies, let them knowe that thou art the defender of my iuſt cauſe.
