Psalm 114

1.WHen Iſraél went out of Egypt, & the houſe of Iaakób from the barbarous people,
2.Iudáh was his ſanctificacion, & Iſraél his dominion.
3.The Sea ſawe it and fled: Iordén was turned backe.
4.The moũtaines leaped like rams, & the hilles as lambs.
5.What ailed thee, ô Sea, that thou fleddeſt? ô Iordén, why waſt thou turned backe?
6.Ye mountaines, why leaped ye like rams, and ye hilles as lambs?
7.The earth trembled at the preſence of the Lord, at the preſence of the God of Iaakób.
8.Which turneth the rocke into waterpooles, & the flint into a fountaine of water.

The whole people were witneſſes of his holie maieſtie, in adopting them, and of his mightie power in deliuering them.

Seing that theſo deade creatures felt Gods power, & after a ſorte ſawe it, muche more his people ought to conſider it & glorifie him for the ſame.

Oght then his people to be inſenſible, when thei ſe his power & maieſtie?

That is, cauſed miraculousſly water to come out of the rocke in moſte abũdance, Exod.17,6.
